Canada Post Scam

After 6 months of waiting, back and forth email and request, they finally sent me a credit memo for $107.30 to cover the cost of a lost small packet air parcel ($100 insurance plus 7.30 postage).

Today i found out that not only it was never deposited into my account, it was actually reversed because they claimed the package was finally delivered.

Yes the package was finally delivered because i sent the customer a replacment via xpresspost.

Did they ever sent me an email or snail mail about this, NO! The just reversed it without any notification, consultation or communications.

All those bad apples are really making Canada Post look bad. When was the last time you look that your credit was actually applied? I think Canada Post has a serious credibitily issue here.

..wait a minute..i'm confused..i thought that because small packet air offers no tracking numbers, then if it gets lost, there's nothing buyer/seller can do? in other words, i thought we (and canada post) needed a tracking number in order to file a claim, without one, how else would they know the package has been delivered or not?

yes you can make a claim on small packet, that's why it comes with an insurance coverage; but you have to wait a long time for them to "investigate" that the package was indeed not delivered, and subject to future reversal obviously.

Cancel your Terms account, make all payments with a credit card (Rack-up the points) and when they send you a refund, they will send you a check.

Can't be reversed.

I got a letter which was delivery after one year!

I was working in Canada post main warehouse. They usually once in a year make "big" cleaning and fixing everything. We found letters and parcels which were must be delivery long time ago.

I just got a refund for shipping that did not print (EST went down in the middle of shipping run) My credit card was still charged. The refund came as a credit to my account - I did not know I had an account! I've always paid with CC, and I expected a credit to my card.

I printed a shipping label with paypal/ebay on december 21st, i voided the label within 48 hours because customer wanted to pick it up.

I am still waiting for a refund, i spoke to paypal for 30 minutes and they say it's up to canada post; and i spent another 30 minutes with canada post and sure enough they want me to talk to paypal!

i was talking to Lauren at the Federiction office and she spoke to her supervisor Cheryl, no last name, ext # or id was given.

How the hell would i get my money back?

Marcopolca if you want a refund, call Paypal and complain.
I had 2 labels not appear in the pop up window but I was charged anyway. I did the online 'refund shipping' option. A month later I called Paypal and they had no record that I had even selected to get a refund on my labels. Regardless, within 3 days I had 2 credits to my account. Sometimes it depends who answers the phone at Paypal too. I have had alot of really great people to talk with and some who were deadheads.

Yes thanks for the heads up, i emailed them but got the standard response; i just called them again and the lady on the phone is pretty efficient and has requested for a refund for me and said will be here tommorow.

i got the check from canada post today for $101, don't know where the 6.30 gone but i am happy i finally deposited it.

Trust but, always verify; that's if you remember it.

A shipping label that was cancelled on dec 21, 06 still has refund pending from canada post!!!

Just tried to ship with canadapost.ca and had to paid 3 times but only one was printed; have to start this ritual all over again trying to claim my money back.
