Canada Post tracking on shipments to US

I have 3 US shipments that I've shipped in Jan, 1 Xpress and 2 Expedited, that do not show any scans outside of Canada. I know that tracking with CP and USPS is pretty vague most of the time, but all 3 of these appear that they never arrived in the US.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing, or do I have 3 lost shipments??

I would tend to assume they are stuck in customs.

I don't ship via Canada Post anymore but when I did any and all tracking ceased from the time the item hit customs until it's delivery at the other end. At the border it went into a black hole and only appeared again once it showed up at its final destination. Don't know if it is still that way though.

CP shipments are not tracked within the USA. This is how it works:

First report is : "...electronically submitted" (if it was done on-line).

Second report is when dropped off at your post office.

Third report is just before it leaves the country.

Fourth report is ususually "item out for delivery"

Which is subsequently replaced with "item successfully delivered"

Don't worry. Between holidays and bad weather , your items will arrive. Delivery can be slow this time of year.
Your items will eventually get scanned by usps on delivery.
They are normally delivered by the time they show on the canada post website.

The CanadaPOST NOT=TRACKING system is totally useless piece of junk - lately it is not even showing the estimated delivery date whereas it used to.

Checking our past deliveries on the CanadaPOST site still show no new changes meanwhile on the USPS website the item show delivered - so once again the USPS website is updated much faster than the CanadaPOST site.

CanadaPosts explanation is that they are not getting the updates from USPS as fast as they would like to have them and hence the lag in their system.

They are trying to resolve this issue but cannot confirm when and if it will be resolved.

One of the 3 shipments now shows as "arrived at unit" on USPS, still shows Montreal on CP. The other 2 (One was an Xpresspost mailed Jan 2) still don't show as arriving in the US, on either site.

I drive over the border each week and mail from there. You can go through the cargo line avoiding lineups and download the necessary paperwork from us customs web site. They charge an annual $250 fee for a calendar year decal or $10.00 for each time you cross the border with you "cargo". The best part when you get to a postal office it costs .75 CENTS !!!!!!!!!!!! to track the item.

That is NOT tracking, it's delivery confirmation.

By the way if you print your postage online you get delivery confirmation free for Priority.

call CP and they'll tell you where it is
since you paid for xpress to US it's 1 week guaranteed if it's has not yet arrived they'll refund you the item and shipping fee at their expense
