CanadaPOST PowerSeller Program Ending In Sept 2006

Just wanted to share with those Powersellers that are not aware that the current PowerSeller Program offered by CanadaPOST is being TERMINATED as of Sept 2006.

CanadaPOST is sending out letters to all current members and for High Volume Sellers they will be contacted by their assigned sales reps.

So stock up on Polybag mailers between now and Sept. since they will not be offering them anymore for free.

Remember, you can order max 50 bags at a time, but you can enter mutiple orders of 50.

Lovely. the pink answered several times it was staying, eg

"The current Canada Post discount program in place for PowerSellers is still in place. Nothing has changed with this program, even though eBay's Online Shipping has been introduced.

Regards,

lilybean"

Then has ignored completely all further inquireis about it. There is no way I'll ever use the paypal thin to let ebay take the discount we've been getting.

The pinks were asked about the broken link to sign up for this several times, but they've still continued to advertise this as a benefit for power sellers

"eBay has worked with Canada Post to bring PowerSellers special discounts. You are entitled to discounts when you ship anywhere in Canada using Xpresspost, Regular Parcel, Expedited Parcel, or Priority Courier. After signing up with Canada Post as an eBay PowerSeller, you will receive discounts starting at 10% off counter rates.**

Remember, Canada Post's Electronic Shipping Tools can now be used to process all USA & International shipping, including Small Packet. Standing in line is a thing of the past! You can even drop many items into a mailbox.

Click here for more details on Shipping Discounts & other promotions.

**Discount only available when purchasing shipping online through Canada Post's Electronic Shipping Tools. Some restrictions may apply. Actual discounts will vary depend on weight of the item, distance shipped and service standard used. No discounts apply to options such as Signature, Delivery Confirmation or Insurance"

Yes, the POWERSELLER program is over come SEPT 2006 and depending on your volume your accout will convert to regular Commercial Rates --- if you are a large volume seller then like I mentioned a CanadaPOST sales Rep will be calling you to negotiate level 1, level 2 or level 3 rates...Level 1 is for minimum 750 units per year and level 2 is for 900 plus units and level 3 is for 5000 plus units or more.

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to pop in on Sunday to address some inquiries as to the current state of the PowerSeller shipping discount program with Canada Post.

An official announcement from Canada Post will be coming in the next 2 weeks to every PowerSeller who was enrolled in the program.

Stay tuned for more details.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Regards,

lilybean

You call that an answer? What the hell kind of answer is that??? You didn't answer anything! I'm not in the program and it doesn't affect me. I'm sorry, but Lilybean, that's just stupid and makes you and eBay both look bad!

You didn't address a thing! If you're going to come in and say nothing don't tell people you're going to address some inquiries. It shows a very poor grasp of the English language. Sad. 😞

Try maybe, 'I understand some of you have questions and concerns regarding the Canada Post PowerSeller program. Please stay tuned for an announcement regarding the program in the next 2 weeks that will hopefully answer your questions and concerns.' Or, 'Please stay tuned for an announcement in the next couple of weeks concerning the Canada Post PowerSeller program.' Or 'I wanted to let you know that we'll have an announcement in the next couple of weeks concerning the Canada Post PowerSeller program.'

Don't say you're going to address people's concerns and then say nothing. Geeze! I expect more of someone with an MBA.

CanadaPOST PowerSeller Program Ending In Sept 2006

Ebay has deliberately ignored quite a few posts on what happened to the power seller link going to canada psot site. lilybean very clearly said nothing was changing with that when they paypal shipping started, then within days the page the link went to disappeared. Ebay seems to just hope if they never mention the bad stuff they are doing to members no one will notice?

To get the poly bags log on to the business center, order supplies, search "ebay" and add them to the cart.

I am sorry but I don't know how to find the business center. Seems I am not up to date on some things that might be to my advantage. Would appreciate some direction. Thanks very much,

There...the pinks will never respond to this thread again after that one is mentioned. There were other responses that said the same thing too.

I wish I met some of these people at eBay Live. She apparently was there. I would have given a few of them a piece of my mind! I visited the Canadian booth a couple of times and spoke with Jordan but frankly can't be bothered with anything eBay Canada related. They are the ineffectual little brother of .com. No decisions can be made by them. They have no power. It's an illusion designed to placate those who want to confine themselves to dealing only with Canadians.

I figure if some of these clowns can get a job at eBay maybe I can too. Crap, I know more than some of them do about eBay! I go look on the site and see they require an MBA. And someone with an MBA writes a statement as she has above?!? Grimme a freaking break!

I don't know which that reflects worse on; the person, eBay or the school system? :(

CanadaPOST PowerSeller Program Ending In Sept 2006

I got my letter today.

Dear Customer,

We are writing to inform you that Canada has decided to discontinue the eBay Shipping Discounts program for our Canadian Powersellers, effective Sept 30, 2006. yada, yada, yada. After careful evaluation of the program and its benefi to the eBay Community, we believe this decision will allow us to focus on making eBay's online shipping solution an even greater tool for eBay sellers.

Yada, yada, yada, you can still use eBay's online shipping tool ... to save 8% in Canada and 9% to the US or international. yada yada, yada.

A Special Toekn of our Appreciation
Withing the next few weeks you will receive a free Canada Post Shipping Kit as a speical thank you for participating in Canada Post's eBay Shipping Discounts Program.

For your other shipping needs you can continue to use your VentureOne Card. Yada, Yada, Yada.

-----------------------------

It does not say anything about continuing to use Canada Posts EST tools. I hate PayPals shipping tool!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah right, they evaluated there was no benefit in it for ebay if power sellers all used EST to get their discount instead of paypal where ebay can collect commission on. Still no way I'lll use paypal shipping.

Oh, my typing was atrocious last night.

Bottom line, unless you have the volume on your own to warrant a discount through Canada Post you are SOL. Well it was nice while it lasted.

Now the only benefit to being a powerseller is this board!

They slid the discount down in the past few months, so now they're just discontinuing it entirely.

I'm kinda pissed.

with the power seller program ending with CP, where do we continue to get the discounted rates other then Venture One? Venture one is the smallest discount, do we then use Paypal? I have yet to use Paypal shipping service. Any comments as to how it is? Does Paypal take the shipping cost right away from your account or can they charge on a MasterCard/Amex/Visa? Do we still get our packing labels and labelopes for free via Canada Post web site or Paypal? Thanks for any info into this.
