I've shipped hundreds of packages small packet, surface. If anything had ever been returned, for whatever reason(not picked up, no longer at address, whatever) I've never been charge for the return. But recently I've had 2 items returned and have been charged full postage on both items. I know with Expedited you consent to paying for the return, but I've never seen this with Small Packets, Is this new? Was I just lucky avoiding this befroe? Anyone know?

I have been charged for a return in Canada. I sent an expedited small packet to a client and when he wanted to return it he marked return to sender. When the post office sees this they charge on the return 😞

from the Canada Post price list (the little brochure).
Under Small Packets:
"return to sender - fee equal to Surface Small Packets price"
I've had one or two returned from the USA for free but the only one I ever had from Europe was charged at the surface rate.

If I refuse a package, does the guy in New York get it back ?
If so, does US Post charge him ?
Anyone know ?

it would go to Undelivered Mail and eventually get listed on eBay.
