I Have added 6 MAJOR Canadian credit cards to my account but I am still not confirmed with Paypal. I can't get it. A lot of American's are asking for Paypal confirmed now and that means I can't use my paypal balance!!!! They are all scrared of the Credit card fraud in wich I am lucky so far.

What credit cards work in Canada? I have deleted all my cards and put them all in again to see if that would work (via ebay confirmed address page that goes to Paypal directly). No luck. I have emailed Paypal but they just give me the mumbo jumbo that on a certain day it will be available in Canada.

What cards are accepted?

Call you bank. Ask them if their support AVS (address verification system)

If they do, chances are you'll be confirmed as that's the system PayPal uses to the best of my knowledge.

I don't think many Canadian banks are supporting this yet... and I'm sorry, but I don't know which ones do.

I was confirmed with a Visa card when I first joined Paypal. The card was then stolen and I had it replaced with the exact same card but a different number and Paypal will not confirm it. They tell me that maybe Visa system was down at the time I had tried again and will not be able to reverify. Told me to try another cc and I told them to go away. They need to get their act together and quit being lazy. Remember it is human nature to be lazy. Paypal can just about verify everyone but that would cost them time and money. So you know where that will go. Wish I could help you but even when I phoned Paypal directly they would not do anything for me. So I no longer bother with sellers who sell in that manner. Their loss, not mine. If I ran my business this way, I would be out of business. But that is how a monoply will work. Until that changes we are at their demands. Good luck if you continue to try. Same here... I tried 2 cards... even called a paypal mgr... still unconfirmed. Guess we can't do much about it. Good luck.

The advantage on being confirmed is sweet also. I have this buyer that I bought crap from *he stated mint in his auction and I can't do anything now. It costs me for 6 auctions 100$US and he will not answer my emails. With a confirmed address, I would give him a warning then I would do a refund with paypal. IT would force him to email me back and communitate with me as I want my money back on my purchase.

Now I have to go through ebay (Square TRADE) in wich it will be a lost time....
