Counter option no longer available?

I just posed an item for auction but I don't see any way to add the hit (or visitor) counter.

This used to be a standard option.

Is there another way to add a counter?

Counter option no longer available?

Thank-you pocomocomputing,

I must be dense. I assume that by "SYI form" you mean the selling listing that I prepared. If so, I can't find a "Add or remove options" link.

What am I missing?

Yes, SYI = Sell Your Item which is the ebay online form for creating a listings. But there are two versions available (Advanced form or the Quick Lister form) and you should see an option on the top right to chose the other form. The Advanced form has the feature to Add or Remove options. The Quick Lister may not.

Some features of the online eBay Sell Your Item form will only display if turned on in the Add or Remove options that you will see beside the section headers in the SYI form. Some features are turned off by default in the SYI form, some are on.

Visitor counter is an option that seems to be off by default.

Click on the Add or Remove options and a popup will show all the options organizes by the SYI sections. The visitor counter is in the Description section. Click on the check box beside the Visitor counter to turn it on and save. It should appear in the SYI form. The select the type of counter you want.

Screenshot of the option popup below. (You may want to go through all the options to see if there are others you might want on.)

Thanks for this 'poco' -- I had been wondering where they put this option choice, which used to be a very visible part of the SYI form.

I just hate that eBay keeps moving, shifting, changing, removing entirely and/or burying features that we've all become used to using.

And I wish (futile, I know) that eBay would design a chronological "Site Updates" page, searchable by keyword, to let us know when seller tools have been altered and where the heck to find our old familiar options.

How/where are you listing?

On eBay.ca if I click on the sell button, then select category I get the Create your listing page and see the  Visitor counter option just above Choose a format and price.

If I do the same on eBay,com, I have to select the Add-or-remove-options link on the same line as Describe your item then select Description in the pop-up and then mark the Visitor Counter.

Thanks again pokomocomputing,

OK. I got it.

I was using the Quick Lister form. This is new since the last time that I listed an item for sale. I now see the Advanced form and found the counter option. This also answered another of my questions. The old listing form used to provide the option of listing in US or CDN funds. This option is only available in the advanced form.

Like rose-dee said, I wish that eBay would quit changing things. It just makes it more difficult when you have to relearn the process frequently!

Thanks again!
