Does anyone here also sell on abebooks?

Hope this doesn't violate board policies. I checked and didn't see a problem.

I am thinking of setting up a store on abebooks. I have a number of questions. If anyone has any experience with them can you please respond.

I looked into it a year or so ago but decided to concentrate on my own bookstore website (fully hosted for only $9.95/month), my eBay store and selling on "The River".
I did get great advice and suggestions at that time from the regulars on the Booksellers board - perhaps you should try there?

I just bought a book on abebooks - does that count?

I am looking for a very special book on silver. It is not on eBay and I have tried lots of times. I did a search through Sympatico and abebooks came up. They listed my book from about 8 different sellers from the US and Canada, in order of price range from lowest to highest. The prices were in US funds.

I contacted the seller who had the right edition - not all books listed were created equal - theough "ask the seller a question". I asked him to give me the very best price in Canadian dollars. He did - the price was great and I am sending a check tomorrow.

And of all things, books allow us to become more informed and better sellers.
