We had an inventory shipment coming from Minnesota to here in Ontario that was just a nightmare. Our supplier sent us a DHL airborne express tracking number. When the shipment never arrived, we entered the number on DHL's website and there it was. Showed the item having been picked up and in their hands. Well, 4 weeks later nothing arrived and we called DHL to see what the hold-up was (maybe stuck at customs?). Even with the tracking number, they could not located the package. They insisted that they never picked up the package in Minnesota (despite the supplier having a record of it, a DHL tracking number, and their own website confirming pick-up).
Eventually, my supplier re-shipped the order and it arrived. 3 months later, DHL delivered the original order with no explanation as to the delay. I've since confirmed that this was NOT a customs delay but in fact a DHL mix-up (for which they have no explanation).
The local DHL outlet also tends to be late with pick-ups. I don't know if this is true in other cities. If you call for a pick-up here and they tell you they will be there by 5pm tomorrow, add an extra day to it.

We ship about 75 to 100 packages weekly. I will give you an exemple for send out to USA:
0 - 0.250 kg = $ 4.60 canadian
0.251 kg - 0.500 kg = $6.55
0.501 kg - 0.750 kg = $ 8.91
0.751 kg - 1.00 kg = $10.91
1.00 kg - 1.5 kg = $15.52
1.5 kg - 2kg = $18.97
International(worldwide)= $3.75 per pack + $1.60 per 100 grams
Insurance up to $100.00 canadian (delivery time for USA & Internatinal is 5 to 10 business days). Like we mentioned ealier we have been using there services for 6 months now and we are VERY satisfied (time delay even same or shorter then Canada Post and success rate of delivery very good).
If you are interested call there offices in Montreal 1-866-627-5284. Ask to speak with Mark (indicate you spoke with Frederic).

Those rates are very good! And that included insurance and a DC #? (tracking?)
I am desperate to find something to oust Canada Post, but will still give me a decent rate.
I will call this Mark on Monday.

There is no tracking number but these rate include an insurance up to $100.00. Its like Canada Post "Small Packet" service. This service is very dependable. I haven't had many claims for lost packages and we ship about 75 to 100 packages weekly.
Its worth a try.:-)

If you manage to sell atleast 50 + a weeks in packages. Totally different then Canada Post where you need to ship ovev 1000 000 to get a discount. (see early post with description of price and phone number). We have been doing business now about 7 month and very satisfied.
