The current rule states that any neg FB given to a seller sticks unless the buyer has a change of heart, YUK! THAT JUST AINT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
New rule. I want the same rights that a buyer gets. Under feedback abuse. Sellers should get the same rights as buyer gets when unfair feedback is given. Meaning that any neg, neu or and unfair comments to be considered UNFAIR THAT CONFLICT WITH A SELLERS GOOD RECORD TO BE REMOVED.
If you agree just post a I agree on this thread. When enough sellers are listed I will forward it to ebay for review.
Thks
Kelly

i was wondering, could you still refund his money and claim non-payment?
just a thought.
Nope! Can't do that. Ever. The system sees you've been paid and even though you refunded the payment for whatever reason, including if the buyer paid you $1 for shipping, the system automatically blocks you and prevents you from issuing a UPI.
Been there, done that.

Previous to this I have been emailing ebay 2 emails a day for past 3 days. One email was for FB abuse and removal. The other was putting a complaint in to ebay via the " offer ebay your suggestions" link. Plus 1 phone call. All went no where. The girl that answered the phone today was very friendly. That probably helped. The previous customer rep was not.
Now whether my squeaky wheel method helped or not I don't know. But it didn't hurt my case, that's for sure.
Thanks to ebay for finally realizing my case did warrant FB removal.
Thanks to Sam for the important suggestions.

What did happen was you found out that the buyer committed a violation that allowed their comment to you to be removed. That's great and I'm happy for you but eBay didn't make an exception for you and the comment and their non-payment in and of itself was not grounds for removal. You were working within the system.

But I ask you this. Where would I be if I took all of you PS opinions and gave up right from the start? I'd be stuck with an unfair FB, that's where.
Yes buyer committed a violation or two. But it is my persistence that won out in the end. I had 5 emails and 1 phone call that refused any help. The second phone call worked.
Maybe on your neg FB you mentioned, you gave up without a fight??
Yes, thanks to me I didn't give up. Thks to SAm for the help. Thanks to the fool buyer that allowed a loop hole for me. Thks to ebay for investigating and removing the untrue neg FB.
No thanks to all of you PS that told me to quit and take the neg FB beating.

THE EBAY FEEDBACK REVOLUTION"" is over for now.
Must smile again on the use of the word. Originally I thought you are using the meaning of "a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving" and only now I realized it was "a single complete turn".

I'm curious. Since you know everything then why did you request and or whine for help in 3 and/or 4 threads on this board?
You were given excellent advice from extremely knowledgeable power sellers who have stood the test of time.
You've bitten the hands of many with your comments in an *Ha Ha! I told you so mannerism" and if you think that many will be as willing to help next time.....think again. These power sellers are BUSY and run circles around most of us here with the volumes they sell.
Personally, I'm glad that they are here, because they have been a pillar of support many times for many of us.

You initially asked for help but refused to identify the problem.
Once you identified the problem, you called the neg unfair and asked how to have it removed. The posters that responded (correctly) suggested that eBay does not remove FB even if it is perceived as unfair.
eBay removed the neg for another reason. Either the contact info was phoney, the buyer was abusing the FB system or he had multiple UPI's. Perhaps his account was even suspended. In all these cases eBay can and usually will remove FB.
I once had a user kicked off eBay for FB abuse and the neg for us was removed. On another I ganged up on the seller with a couple of competitors. He did not pay any of us, we all filed UPI's and the buyer was NARU's and his FB removed.
Those cases, same as yours, were all within eBay rules. eBay generally does not make exceptions such as you were asking for and you used a different angle.
Had you pointed out the inconsistencies that led to FB removal, I am sure someone would have suggested approaching eBay as you did. However, not knowing this but only hearing about how "unfair" the neg was, you received advice consummate with what was known.
Having said this, I am personally very happy that you had the neg removed - I know how it feels.
By the same token may I recommend not taunting the posters that have given you advice? There are many good people giving advice on this board. I noticed that some have refrained from posting re your issue and I can imagine why.
Good luck in your sales all the same 🙂

I will go back to my original thoughts, that most of you think you know it all. Well you don't know it all. I have taught you guys a valuable lesson. DON'T GIVE UP WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT an issue.
But I was wrong about one thing. I should have told you about my problem from the get go. But I thought that sellers have the same rights as buyers. I found out that's not so, after finally getting the very slow ebay to look at my case.
I ask all that commented to go back and read the mountain of negatives you gave me. The squeaky wheel was just one of dozens. There is something to be learned here for all.
thanks

thanks

You have me curious. What exactly do you think you were you right about here that made eBay remove the feedback? I was just wondering.

You have me curious. What exactly do you think you were you right about here that made eBay remove the feedback? I was just wondering.
Ok no problem. As a ebay buyer, I have had a few nasty sellers to deal with over the past 5 years. Mostly regarding items not as described. I knew I was correct in each and every case. EBay agreed and had ebay sellers suspended, warned, untrue comments removed etc. That is not hard to do as a buyer.
In this case as a seller, I knew something wrong with this buyer. No FB record, backed out of sale with no good reason. Didn't return emails etc. Possible past ebay seller with an axe to grind? All I knew there had to be a way to have ebay reverse it. I wanted them to investigate it. And after a few failed try's with ebay, I succeeded with some help and persistence.
Just go and look at my FB record. I go out of my way to please my buyers. Above and beyond the call of duty in some cases. Free gifts, no questions asked return policy, great communication, shipping rates at cost etc.
AS a seller I must admit that how I handle things, I have not deserved any neg FB. So to me to get this one was totally wrong and insane.
Thanks
Kelly
P.S. I have looked at all the FB records of you whom commented on my threads. I noticed one fact that you all share whether you have a 1000 FB's or 10,000. You all have great Fb records. Some the best I ever seen! For example one of you has a perfect full 4 star DSR rating. I can't remember who. Not even the American eBayer can show that.
I hope I didn't offend too many of you. You are the sellers worth hanging around.
Thanks
Kelly

I am curious if anyone has ever identified the transaction number involved. Most of us can make sense of the problem with some factual background.
Here it is.

But I will not talk about how I know this. Or what it was. Or discuss my communication with ebay. AS I don't want any of the readers running back to ebay and say, hey so and so got an exception, why can't I, or why didn't I. Dragging up all the old past history etc.
Just take it as this. If you know you're correct about an issue with ebay or paypal, don't give up. Fight for the proper result.
Thanks

The buyer has no bids in the last 30 days.
I am also curious why the price has been reduced by nearly 20% ($230 down to $195)?

Also, it is highly unusual for a buyer to ask for a cancellation, the seller agree to a mutual cancellation and the buyer still leave derogatory FB.
Newbies that make a buying mistake are generally quite relieved when a seller accedes to their request. Leaving a neg is usually not on their mind unless there is more to the story.
I sense that there is more to the story than you are telling us; hence your ability to get the neg removed and your initial hesitation to volunteer more details at the onset.

Unfortunately, more than 30 days has passed since the purchase. eBay only provides buyer's information for 30 days. So it is now too late to see what else that buyer was bidding on or buying at the time.
The buyer has no bids in the last 30 days.
I am also curious why the price has been reduced by nearly 20% ($230 down to $195)?
Most of the FB on the item was it was priced too high. Although I did sell one for that price to UK(230). I'm selling these for another person and was able to get a reduction from him.
