Ebay Live 2005

Hi,

Just wanted some feedback about Ebay live. Has anyone attend it before? Do they achieve anything from attending? Is it worth the trip to pay for the airline ticket, and the hotel accommodations to go? How do we register to attend? How much does it cost.

Thanks a bunch.

Good Evening

Ladyce here..:-)

I have attended both Ebay Live in 2003 in Orlando Florida and Ebay Live 2004 in New Orleans..:-)

Personally, I found the conventions to be absolutely fantastic..:-)

You can view pics from both years here on my ME Homepage

You get to talk in person with ebay sellers, you get to talk to paypal in person, the ebay staff in person..:-)There are many companies there with booths, lots of information and freebies too..:-) This alone makes it for me worth the pilgramage to these events. Having 3 days to immmerse yourself with those who share a passion and a committment as both business and as a community, you cannot find that anywhere else but there. Both years I have been the attendance exceeded 10,000 Ebayers..:-)

It is as you would probably guess, mostly Power Sellers that attend...:-) But you will meet everyone from Meg Whitman, to share holders, to newbies, the curiosity seekers too.:-)

As Power Sellers, we do get extra perks, for instance a special Power Seller lounge that you have to have a Power Seller Badge to get in there..:-) I was also contact by Aashish, one of the toy category managers before I left this year for New Orleans because he wanted to meet with me. I was also invited to a very small affair where Top Power Sellers had a special dinner for us too...:-) I was with the Toy Crowd..:-)

I just cannot say enough about how much I have learned from meeting others at the conventions, many of whom I keep in touch with, and how much fun I had while there at Ebay Live! They provide lots of food, live entertainment, even a wedding took place this year in New Orleans.

To sum up my opinion, at Ebay Live, Its all About Me and Ebay! It Rocks!

Hey Zarzuella..:-)

I am a very happy person in general and when inspired by something that makes me smile, I like to share..:-)

I never over use my smileys, they are all genuine to my state of mind and being.

Im truly Sorry if my enthusiasm and love of life and passion for my Ebay career exceeds what you feel is to happy.

I count my blessings everday and always try to see the bright side of things and in that, I can smile alot..:-)

I'm sorry that my (lighthearted) comment seems to have offended you.

Your response to the OP was interesting and useful, once I could get past the distraction of all the 🙂
Makes me think I'm corresponding with a pre-teen.

I have to agree with Ann on the use of those icons. Its not unlike the overuse of "LOL". Whether you use them a little or alot doesnt matter any more. They are overused such that anyone using more than one in a post appears to be over-using them.

It distracts from your message, makes reading your text difficult and somewhat hard to digest what you are trying to say because they break up the paragraph. It is something similar to what children do when using stickers everywhere on their work.

Let your words express your love for eBay and your general sense of happiness. Your "About Me" page clearly does and it is not the icons rather the pics that you have used to get the message across.

Just some constructive critism from someone that also had a hard time reading through your post due to the number of smiley faces.
