After listening to other sellers at eBayOnTheRoad in Vancouver, I realized that a lot of people think that they must check either the box that says GIFT or SAMPLE OF MERCHANDISE on the green Customs form.

This is not correct.

If you read the form, it says 'Check IF the item contains:'

So, if your pkg is NOT a gift and NOT a sample, those boxes are NOT to be checked.

Hi cat -- I had to miss on the road ... did you learn anything else? I've been feeling bad about not being able to attend but I'm really wondering if I missed much of anything??!!! I'd really like a report from someone who was there!

Glenda, it WAS fun, and made for a very busy week for me, on top of a family funeral in Chilliwack and a focus group on Tuesday...hardly got any auctions done.
I volunteered for the Vancouver show, so had to be there early to help with registration, etc. It was PACKED!! Had a great time, and enjoyed meeting the eBay gang.

That is very interesting info about those little green forms. At my PO they think that one or the other has to be checked. However, I don't maind the sample, because it is a Sample of the merchandise I sell! Will have to talk to my friends at the postal outlet I patronize! Gloria
