Filter out sellers using GSP

Living in Canada and shopping from US sellers, I'm wondering if there is a way I can filter out sellers who use GSP?  I find it high price and will not buy from sellers using GSP.  I would prefer being able to click a box so those ads don't appear in my search results

You're far from the only buyer who wants a GSP filter! Unfortunately eBay refuses to give us one.

You can't filter them out, but there is a way to spot GSP items in your search so that you don't click on them.

Check the "View" listing in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Make sure it is set to "List". If it isn't, change it.

When searching with List View, all the GSP items will have a "Customs Services and International Tracking Provided" blurb. So you can ignore those and concentrate on the rest.

It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing at all.

Apparently the GSP warning/notice does not show up when viewed on a mobile phone, so before bidding it would be a good idea to double check on a laptop or desktop.

Hmm, you and me, both! Smiley Very Happy   When scrolling through listings just pass by those with the pale grey warning:

Customs Services and International Tracking Provided

Rather than offer a 'check box' of avoidance,  ebay seems to be making GSP listings increasingly harder to spot.

Therefore if you accidentally click on one of those listings by mistake, you will want to read the shipping info very

carefully.  "International Priority Shipping to Canada" is not to be confused with USPS Priority International which is

the postal service for those larger, heavier items that cannot be mailed via the cheaper First Class.

And of course, you might like to first try to Search using the Item Location on the left of the page and choose

Canada Only.  If you can find what you want in Canada it will come as quickly and cheaply as the postal system

will allow.

Not much but we have to try what we can.

Add me to the "I wish" list.

While I'm here, I also wish that the auto-printed customs declaration paper didn't just copy the text of the listing title.  When I buy stuff from the "adults only" section, those titles are full of words that get bleeped in this forum and I hate getting mail peppered with such language on the package Smiley Embarassed, disgusting!  Have some discretion!

While I haven't quite had that problem, you could try letting your sellers know that the autoprinted line can be edited.

I have sold some books to customers in overseas dictatorships which might be questioned by customs officials (sociology texts, some political tracts, religious books) and it is easy to reword that line to something more innocuous . Mostly I just use 'book' which is accurate and safer.
