I recently purchased an item that said it was free shipping to my country. However after I had paid for the product the seller contacted me telling me that I needed to pay for the shipping and he wanted me to send him a check in the mail. At first I argued with him but he was very persistent and I was worried that I missed something but told him that I would only transfer money over paypal so that is what I did. However I was just looking through my purchased items and went back onto the page for the item I bought and it does say free shipping to my country. Did I get scammed and if so will I be able to get my money back?

Hi ..seller cannot request more than listing shows..
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/selling-practices.html
See terms and conditions. Should have advised seller to ship or refund. If refunded, appropriate feedback left.
2 payments nullifies buyer protection but if you just sent the extra without a connection to the item # , main payment is ok for BP.
