GSP & Canada Post Strike

How will eBay handle GSP once the strike settle in?

I have a few shipments which will likely not be delivered (if no alternate arrangements are made)

eBay stands to lose a good heap of money for shipments that don't arrive on time with GSP. due to the strike, which is no fault of the seller or buyer, but rather is a risk of the business model they have.

I'm curious if anyone has heard anything. All my GSP shipments show In Transit With Destination Carrier. Some have CPC tracking, others don't have tracking (yet). One has just arrived at the GSP Center.

I am hoping they arrange alternate delivery.

FWIW-- Pitney Bowes does have some contracts with CanPar. But of course, if you live outside a major centre, most couriers pass their shipments off to Canada Post in any case.

The decision of what carrier to use for a package sent through the Global Shipping Program is that of the logistics firm subcontracted out to process it in Canada.

Since the GSP is Pitney Bowes' baby, eBay wouldn't stand to lose any money on non-delivery claims.
