Gone For Weekend and My Server is Down

I'm off for the weekend and my site is down so I cant get any emails, cant respond to inquiries and my pics cant be accessed by prospective buyers on eBay all thanks to Rogers changing my address and screwing up my network around midnight.

Oh well, anyone thinking they can buy and get stuff by Christmas are pushing it anyway, although I have 3 of my 11 items that have passed my reserves.

My son the techie says it will take upwards of 72 hours for everything to reset itself which brings me to Monday night.

Oh Malcolm, bad luck!! What timing - and if they're anything like Shaw, it's never anything they've done ... it's always *you* who've screwed up.

Hope your techie son is right! My techie nephew usually is so it bodes well ...

Hi Malcolm,

I just went trough similar DNS change mess. Yes it take 24 to 72 hours for Internet switches to learn your new address.

Good idea to change your e-bay e-mail to some hotmail or yahoo mail that you can access (as long as you have Internet access itself).

I should have my server shut down more often!
I think I do metter when my server is down and I am not around.

I left Saturday for the weekend with 11 items listed. I came home tonight, my server was up and running and 9 of my items sold and I will probably sell the other 2 as well.
