I recently purchased a new Keurig K450 from a seller on ebay. It arrived today and all I can say is, wow. The water reservoir has a huge crack running up and down it that leaks water. The power button doesn't work. It has coffee stains all over the sticker on the front (not new obviously) and came wet for some reason, wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap in a loose box. The bubble wrap had pretty much rubbed off it by the time it arrived.
I went to contact the seller about it but ebay suggested I open a return request, so I did. The seller immediately agreed to the return, but then messaged me saying the exact opposite, that he didn't want it back and he would not pay for the return shipping even though ebay said that's what he would do in the return request! He's supposed to send me a return label for it but clearly not interested in doing so.
I also just discovered this isn't even the K450 model, it's the 200 and doesn't have half the features it's supposed to.
I tried opening a dispute in the Resolution Centre but of course I already opened the return, and it won't let me open a dispute. What do I do in this situation?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Are you sure? If the seller or buyer did pay for return shipping and the item was sent back, the buyer would still recover all fees.
How does the buyer recover the "import charges"? Do they have to file a separate claim or are they semi-automatically given a refund by eBay/PB or PayPal?

You may be right but 'should' and 'ebay' are not a happy combination.

What a headache! I called eBay today and they escalated it to a claim. 5 day hold, 5 days for the seller to find a way to send me a return label, then after that i get my refund.
Thanks everyone for your help and input 🙂 Ebay is a huge company with so many important little details when it comes to stuff like this, it's great they have forums to help us find answers!

5 days for the seller to find a way to send me a return label,
If the seller doesn't send the label, which he can't, then there is a reasonable chance that eBay will refund you from their own pocket and tell you to trash the unwanted item.
Or not.

I'm sure that in some cases there was some extra work involved and the buyer had to phone cs but I do remember reading about other cases that when the buyer was refunded, they automatically received all their money back. As you know it is a hit and miss system because there is not a specific gsp claim system.

I can't disagree with that!
