I am a new seller to ebay. I received an email from ebay a few days ago (into my ebay messages) saying an item of mine has been cancelled after an unauthorized user bought it.
For the past few days I have been receiving 2-3 emails into my personal gmail.com account from "Ebay" and "paypal" claiming I have received payment from this user and I am to ship the package to them immediately.... in Nigeria, AND the name of the buyer has changed several times.
The last email I received was from "Ebay" saying I have to send out the package today or my account with be suspended and I will be charged for getting paid and not sending the package.
I am most certain this is fraud as the emails go into my spam account; however, they are convincing, and I am new, so I am still nervous that maybe I am doing something wrong. I went into my paypal account and there is not "pending transactions" or any other activity that shows any sort of payment from anyone.
Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do? Should I just keep ignoring this emails? Write them back saying I know they are scamming me? HELLLPPP!!!
