I regularly get suggestions regarding my prices, strangely nobody has suggested I am priced too low so far....
Today's made me chuckle:
(*PS Mods, all numbers are fictitious)
Buyer sends helpful note offering me $20* for an item priced at $60* (which happens to already be 10% off)
Suggests that their offer price is what this item is currently selling for and they would be happy to pay me that if I accepted.
I sent my normal I'm sorry but I am not able to offer a further discount note, but just for fun I went and checked the other items that were for sale and have sold lately and:
Fixed price mine is the cheapest, even stuff that has been auctioned was going for lowest $19* and usually a bit more than my price!
Pretty bold of the buyer to expect me not to check...
I regularly get ridiculous best offers like $50 against a $1,000 item.... I don't even bother to respond anymore unless they are within the realm of reason, probably shouldn't have even responded to the one today.....
Enough procrastination, thought I'd share a chuckle and I need to get back to listing stuff......

I get those too but usually the messages sent to me are sometimes quite hostile.
Mine usually go something like this:
Unsolicited message [MOD PLEASE NOTE THIS IS PARAPHRASED] on an item that is NOT best offer from other ebay member: "Seriosly? Just seen thet a (someplace it's never been available) for (fictional 95 per cent discount) so I'll giv U $15 if its free shipping to let me kno fast ok i needs it tomorro"
My reply is always [MOD PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ALSO PARAPHRASED] along the lines of: 'Thank you for your kind offer, however, at this time we must decline. Thank you for considering McQueen and Mo Mater' and then block block block.
I do not just routinely block people who send me messages or ask questions about items. I welcome those, actually, since I choose what I sell based on how much insight I can offer on it so I am always happy to share that with potential buyers who have questions, and if something is considered vaguely described, I am happy to clarify whatever they'd like to know.
Just this week, for the first time in memory, I had another member tell me there was an error in the title of my listing for which I was very grateful he had pointed it out, and I thanked him and told him so. I had a pair of numbers inverted in a LEGO set in the title. It was quickly correct. That I appreciate hearing about. I don't take offence.
But the messages from members who just throw it out there at the lowest possible price....? Sometimes they make me laugh. Sometimes, they make me wince. Only on ebay.

I've set an acceptance threshold on all my items, so if the offer is at the threshold or higher it is automatically accepted, so long as the buyer doesn't add any terms*. When set up like this I don't even need to respond to low ballers.
* the term I mostly see is "Free Shipping" which is funny because: 1/ eBay says shipping is not to be negotiated in the offer terms and 2/ most of these "free shipping" offers are from Americans & ALL my items are FREE USA & Canada shipping already.
