I think you can choose your default smilies ... I have "normal" ones selected and if I use key strokes to leave a smiley, then you get the one above. If you choose one from the drop down menu, then you get the one you choose.

Note: you can't use the drop down menu for smilies with Quick Reply.

aha I think I worked it out, if you hit refresh it updates the views on each post

the beauty of 'quick reply' -  you can view all other comments on that page while contemplating a post , which is not equipped with any fancy stuff - no toolbar

i do like that sigge icy, i was just mucking about, btw
