I've always put links to owner's manuals, etc. in my listings to make it easier for buyers to research my products. Ebay is telling me they're not clickable links and shuts me down. How do you format these links properly? Ebay is NO help.

click on HTML when adding to the description in your ad and use this simple HTML code to make your link clickable:
<a href="URL here"> CLICK HERE </a>
Use exactly what I have put above with your link replacing URL here and your link will say CLICK HERE.....CLICK HERE can be substituted with anything you wish. Here is an example of a link to a PDF product info file made clickable when used in the HTML item description box while making your eBay ads:
<a href="http://customer.honeywell.ca/techlit/pdf/95c-00000s/95c-10897.pdf"> Click Here For Info </a>
I hope that helps you. Copy and paste that HTML code onto your desktop or somewhere on your computer so you have it when you need it. 🙂

Clickable or not, the link must follow the links policy in order to be allowed:
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/listing-links.html
Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.

I don't remember asking about ebay's policy, as when you try and insert a link it directs you to the policies but doesn't instruct you how to insert a link like every other site does.
The second reply hits the nail on the head. This is what I've found on other sites but ebay does not give any instruction on how to do it. Thanks, I'll use this method next time I have something to sell.
