Hey,
I am always watching these forums and it has been very insightful so I figured I would come here for help.
I want to know if it is possible to hide what price your item sold for, for instance if I accepted an offer of $25 other members will not be able to see that. I could not find anything in my account preferences.
Thank You

Private Auction
When a seller creates a private listing, a buyer's User ID does not appear in the listing or in the listing's bid history. Only the seller is authorized to view the buyer User IDs associated with that listing. Examples of when sellers use this format include the sale of high-priced items, or approved pharmaceutical products. .

I do believe that the price is still shown though. For example, a private listing that one places a watch on or bids on can still be viewed from My eBay with the sale price, just not who bought it.
I don't believe there is any way to hide the price for auction and buy it now, not sure about best offer and/or store though.
The purpose of an auction site is to make use of the data collected, including price so that one can see how much a specific item sells for, before placing a price on one's own listing.

hmmmm I will explain my problem more, I have sold items in the past, but for frequent buyers I will usually give a nice discount/offer, others see this and then I end up getting e-mails along the lines of, "why did you decline my offer and then sell it for $10 less to someone else." I then have to explain that it was a frequent buyer and that they were buying more then one item at the same time. They seem very offended by this, and I wanted to find a way to hide the price so this does not happen again, but it seems it is not possible on ebay...

You should be able to set something up in the promotional shipping rules... or issue a paypal refund, which is what I do.

I don't believe in making side deals. If you are flexible on a price, then mark your item as accepting offers. Otherwise you should stick to your listed price.
I know that I will get a lot of argument over this and lots of advice on why I should bargain but I am a firm believer that once you let the customer reach into your pocket, they will just dig deeper and deeper.

I do allow offers, but if I have one customer who has bought over $50000 worth of stuff I tend to give deals to that person on items which I would sell to other for a higher price, I just hate explaining that to customer every time I sell an item for less or equal to then what they offered. I should be allowed to hide the final sale price.

Making your listings "private" will deter casual examination of your selling prices. User names of most winning bidders are now being hidden on most listings and will soon be hidden on all listings.
It is still possible to ferret out some of the info if you know the required tricks.
