How long does item not as described case last if buyer does not respond?

A buyer opened a case against me, for item arriving slightly damaged, asking for a replacement, I messaged back saying I will either replace the item or give a full refund upon return of the item, and buyer has yet to respond, 5 days later I sent another message reminding the buyer to respond, its been almost 15 days since buyer opened the case now and I am wondering what happens if the buyer does not respond? Does it automatically close or does it get escalated? Or does the buyer automatically win the case?

 

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
