Today I received an email from a fellow Canadian. I haven't answered it yet but it sure p*ssed me off. What would YOU answer, if you would answer at all?
"What would the shipping cost be to Edmonton for this. I only deal with sellers that don't mark up shipping. Thanks for your time."

All I said, was in respect of Paypal fees, I sometimes find it less expensive to contact the person by phone and take their credit card info and process on my own terminal and save 1.5% processing....I didn't mean to get you hot under the collar....I was just stating what I do (at the same time, we only contact the customer if they initiate the call, and sometimes they call entirely on their own dime).
I certainly don't use my cell for my Ebay business - as a matter of fact I use my cell as little as possible give the air-time charges.
But if your name and address is on your invoices, unless your home phone is unlisted, anyone can access the number anyways.
At the same time, as mentioned I have found that talking to people over the phone has resulted in some repeat business that I believe I may not have received had we not talked in the first place.
I do respect the fact that if you are selling a smaller ticketed item, there is no cost savings in credit card processing on your own after taking toll charges into account.
It was just my two cents worth!
Jeff
PS - Talking to an Ebay customer is way better than being constantly harassed by tele-marketers...
