Im a little worried!!

I have several postings right now.One bidder is actualy in the lead with a purchase of more then $ 1000.00 US.

My worry is that he has no feedback what so ever.Has been on Ebay for only a few days...

Should I be worried in regards to being paid?

Cheers

That's the person on the canon, yes?  As a seller, you can cancel any bid for any reason.  If you cancel a person's bid, it is a good idea to block him afterward.  So, you do not have to accept his bid.  The following link will tell you about cancelling and blocking.

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/manage_bidders_ov.html

That said, it may be that he simply likes the camera and wants to buy it.  Through the above link you can block anyone with 2 or more unpaid item strikes on their record.  And some folks here will tell you to block anyone without a paypal account, - but they don't do that themselves because there are a lot of credit cards in the hands of prompt payers and these sellers don't want to miss a sale.  Moreover, paypal accounts do not guarantee payment.  The efforts expended in filing Unpaid disputes is invariably offset by the extra incoming credit card revenue.

If a person chooses a camera of that calibre, it may be all he wishes to buy and hence he is buying now without a lot of previous feedback for fun rubbish he neither needs nor wants.  Or maybe not.  There really are no guarantees.  The only way you can be sure of absolute payment is to list all your items 'Buy it Now' with immediate payment required.  There is no other way.  Otherwise you may face a non-payer, - it's part of auction life on ebay.

If you ever need to file an Unpaid Item dispute, here is the link that tells you how to do it:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/unpaid-items.html

What most folks do is wait 3 days and still no payment they send a pleasant reminder.  By the end of day 4 they file the dispute, - because that is the earliest the system will allow.  When that happens, the deadbeat gets a strike, you get your fees back, and no one leaves feedback.

Ultimately you have to make your own decisions.  No one can tell you for certain whether that person will or will not pay if he wins.

There are SCAM buyers out there but its a bit encouraging that yours is the only item bid on so far.

If completed , make sure the payment is showing in your PP account and you ship with tracking and signature required delivery.

No need to worry just make sure you have received payment before shipping and send only with tracking and signature, that way you are protected.
