Important Update: 10¢ Listing Day pricing promotion on eBay.ca!

Hi...it's Lilybean…again…from eBay Canada's Community team.

Today, we featured a 10¢ Listing Day but due to technical difficulties, many Canadian users did not receive an email about this pricing promotion. We sincerely apologize for this.

On the good news front, I wanted to let you know we will be re-running the 10¢ Listing Day on Wednesday, November 22. As a reminder, the 10¢ Listing Day is open to all Canadian resident users who list their items on eBay.ca (not eBay.com) in Auction Format, Auction Format with Buy It Now feature Upgrade or Fixed Price.

If you listed on Monday, November 20, don't worry - you still got the special 10 cent listing plus free Buy It Now for any eligible listings made on eBay.ca on that day.

In addition, in case you missed the US announcement, there is a 20¢US Fixed Price and Auction-style Listing Day on ebay.com tomorrow - Tuesday, November 21 – click here for more information.

What a poor promotion. Having listed on many 10 cent listing days , when I received the late notice for 10 cent days I started sending listings and store inventory to online auction, only to realize after that eBay has changed the rules and I was not recieving the discount. Most of the auctions I listed I would not have listed if I was being charged full price. Totally not impressed. It is not an easy switch from eBay.com to eBay.ca for store listings and premade auctions and the bracketed (not for listings on eBay .com ) was not included in the original message. You should reimburse all Canadian sellers their listings from yesterday because this promotion managed to tick a whole country of eBayers off.

I listed several things yesterday and the first half that I did showed the full listing price. I assumed the discount would be applied later as is often the case. But then halfway through, a new template showed up, the reduced fee was immediately applied and it seemed EVERYTHING was eligible for a listing fee refund if it sold, even if it was the third time. (With the new template, the message "the listed item does not qualify for a refund....etc. did not appear once). Can someone please clarify that all items listed will be eligible for the promo and secondly, has eBay changed the policy on the the reimbusement of listing fees when an item sells after relisting. Thanks!!

This promotion was different than their last 10 cent promos. You'll receive the 10 cent listing only if you listed on eBay. ca not the US eBay.com site.If you made that mistake like I did you'll be paying the full fees, for listing. This is reflected at the time of listing and not as a refund later.

I listed on eBay.ca. And I listed some expensive stuff!! So even though the fee reduction wasn't shown right away, it should still qualify. Like I said, about halfway through Monday, the template changed and suddenly the reduced fees were being reflected as I listed. Lilybean - please confirm that ALL listings (early and late) done on eBay.ca on Monday will receive the deal. Thanks, Geri
