Interesting New Trick ~ But is it Allowed?

I've noticed a Canadain PowerSeller recently, who lists their very expensive items for auction at a low starting price ($1). No reserve, No Buy it Now. Listing fees therefore very low.

Then they wait and watch. If it gets down to the last few minutes or so of their listing and the price hasn't gone to where they'd like it to be, they simply cancel all the bids and close the auction stating that the item is no longer for sale.

I know they are doing this as they have multiple auctions for the same items going at once and the only ones they cancel are those that are getting close to ending.

Is this allowed under eBay rules or is it considered fee avoidance?

If you see that, you should report it, along with the auction numbers in question. What a pain, that people do stuff like that. They will kill ebay with their stupidities....if all the other stupidities don't kill it first 😉
