International site visibility "Rip off"

I have not been getting much European sales lately after the re-opening of my store, so i check ebay italy, france, belgim, spain... sure enough nothing shows up for my keyword search. Only in Uk i found 6 of my items listed at the bottom under international seller.

eBay listing offer international site visibility as an option for Uk for another 50 cents, but no options for other country.

i have been on hold with ebay support for 50 minutes now and basically she is reading it off a text book and has no clue 😞

I have always check off shipping "worldwide", what gives?

ISV is only for the UK and works really well.

If the UK is not a predicted market for your products, spare yourself the expense.

If the UK is a good market, it's a great investment.

Checking off worldwide is fine, but are you going one step farther and also setting up Calculated Shipping for specific countries?

For some reason, my US sales are suddenly being replaced by international buyers, mostly from the countries on that checkoff list.

No drop in sales, actually a slight rise, but lots of international buyers.
My main categories are books, postcards and dress patterns.

We have 3 shipping categories:

Canada
USA
International

Since we ship almost 100% by

Lettermail
Light Packet
Small Packet

shipping is real easy to set up. Every item, depending on thickness/weight is assigned a shipping category.

We only charge shipping for one item (with the highest shipping cost) whereas all items travel at no additional shipping cost.

We have it programmed so that, when a buyer goes through checkout, the system adds everything up and only applies one shipping cost, based on the item with the highest of such.

Mind you, there has been a bug on eBay since last month which affects some transactions.

Our sales have always been about 50% to out of North America destinations. That's where the money lies, not in depressed USA.

You must have your ship-to settings as "worldwide" and preferably clearly state shipping costs, otherwise your listings will not be visible on other sites or, if visible, less sales as buyers are hesitant to buy if they don't know shipping costs up-front.

I had a look at your listings and it seems you are on the right track.

It looks as if you ship from the USA and not Canada.

I see that you do combined shipping but the system may not be able to do this automatically because of your shipping settings.

Also, buyers must email you first. That is not only detrimental for sales but also lots of work for you. That and the language barriers. There is a way to automate this for checkout.

i have flat rate shipping rate of $3.00 worldwide, with tracking option for domestic, US and international customer.

After 75 minutes with ebay on phone yesterday, the lady told me she was looking at an internal policy/document that if your items are listed continuously until sold or cancelled; it would not be eligible for international site visibility, i was told to try to reset my listings to 7 or 10 days.

I said "what" and ask her to refer me to the page but she said that's for internal only, so i asked her many times to email that to me. She even gave me a reference # but that email never show up.
i asked her to email me while i am still on the line but she said the email has to go the server and wait for their cue.

I cannot change a listing to 7, 10 days while the listing is active it seems, so i chose to "chat" with ebay the second time.

Now this guy seem lot more intelligent and inform me that was not the case and assure me my item shows up. Well not entirely, some items show up and many not depending on the country.

The positive thing all this 1.5 hours ordeal is i'll try UK visibility again as it puts our products in the same page as the UK seller.
I tried that few years back with hit and miss result, but now the listing fee is much lower so i'll spend a few bucks every month and see.

All support calls seem to route to the Philippines in off hours and the lack of sufficient training or knowledge there is evident 😞
