Re: Is Ebay discontinuing Turbo Lister?

For years I've only used TL to keep track of my sold items so I can delete them from my excel spreadsheet. This I use to upload items with File Exchange. I love it, very easy to upload thousands of listings at a time. When you start using it, go slowly and test a single listing at a time to make sure you've got it going into the system the way you want it. Once I didn't follow my own advice and uploaded 1000 listings incorrectly, thinking I was going to use a free insertion promo. (probably I listed into auction when it should have been fixed price, or vice versa) I called ebay and they reversed all the charges, I just had to end the listings. They were very gracious about it, but I've been much more careful ever since.

Questions for you: Can you end auctions using file exchange, or did you have to do it manually. Are your excel files exported from Turbo Lister or did you have to create the excel sheet from scratch.  How long would it take to say list 1000 items in file exchange.  Did you have to keep separate excel sheets for fixed and auction listings.  Is there any documentation on Ebays site as to how to instigate an upload........where the file should go and how to do it.

Re: Is Ebay discontinuing Turbo Lister?

I was never able to use Turbo Lister because it wasn't compatible with Macs when I was searching for a listing tool.  As far as I know they never did "fix" that issue and with so many Mac users it should have been made available to us too.

In any case, because of that I started using Garage Sale years ago and I can't say enough good things about it.    As far as I know it only works on a Mac.

The cost is a one time fee of about $40 and occasional upgrades every few years for about $20.

I recommend it highly and it's one reason I'll never buy anything but a Mac.

That program sounds good as they just released Garage Sale 7 but only for the Mac.

Has any one here used Wonder Lister

Re: Is Ebay discontinuing Turbo Lister?

The major problem with sixbit is that in order to list on 2 sites you have pay $99! Also the $35 subscription limits you to 5 accounts. they bundle tons of things I don't want. It is like having to take cable TV and a cell phone package in order to get basic internet.

I have not be able to figure out it there are also limits on the total number of listings per month and can you take the listings from account A and transfer them to account B. Can you use it to make listings  off line and store the listings off line? Can you import the listings already up. This is important because I want to able to stop any subscription for a month or two at a time and not have to pay if I take time off. Is it on a month per month basis or do you have to take a whole year at once?

TL was perfect for all of this.

Re: Is Ebay discontinuing Turbo Lister?

I checked the sixbit site but the FAQ was very small and not a lot of info.  It does answer the question about quiting and starting back up with no penalty as you are not locked into a term.  I am not sure what they mean by 1 or 2 sites.  Is the one site option restricted to say  Ebay Canada but not Ebay USA or do they mean by Company example Ebay & Amazon.  It would be nice if they offered a lower pay option without the bells and whistles.  Doe anyone here use Wonder Lister.
