I bought a skirt and when it arrived it was nothing like the skirt I thought I bought.
What the seller did is put two completely different style skirts in the one listing so I thought the first skirt that I clicked on was the skirt I was buying. I did see the other pic but I thought it was the back of the skirt.
In addition the title and the description is the same for both skirts.
The title said:
New! Jennifer Lopez Zip-Front Pencil Skirt Black or Silver - Women's
The description says:
Get sleek style with an edge wearing this women's Jennifer Lopez skirt. Zip-front design and pencil cut combine to give you a modern, flattering look.
I bought the one that is currently saying sold out (Black Elastic Waist...).
The seller is saying that it was clear in the "drop down" of the listing. So basically the only information about the skirt I bought is in the dropdown.
Am I missing something? I'm a seller too and I know I am not perfect but I don't see the clarity she's talking about here or is it just me?
Thanks!

As many readers know, I generally side with the buyers in most instances of dispute.
However, in this instance, I checked the listing and - clearly - the buyer must select black (still available) or silver (sold to you)
You may be able to negotiate an exchange with the seller both I would expect you to pay for both shipping charges.

Nope... I did not buy the silver, I bought the black skirt - I thought I was buying the one in the first pic - the one described in the title and description. Anyway, I guess my loss.
Thanks!!

I don't think that it was clear at all. The title and description describe a skirt with the zipper in the front. Just because the drop down mentions an elastic waist doesn't mean that you are not ordering the skirt that is shown in the gallery pic. Since the seller doesn't agree, I don't think that you would be out of line filing an item not as described.

It's the attitude that got me with this one - the seller saying how clear the listing is as though I'm not too bright.
I have never seen a listing with two totally different items using the same title and description and I'm supposed to know that only the information in the drop down is related to the item I am looking at - uh?. The one I received has no zip detail anywhere.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback.

Dont worry, you are covered by Ebays Money Back Guarantee
Its not about who is right or wrong, you ordered an item that you are not happy with -send it back and get your money back!

Actually, it can have something to do with who was right and who was wrong. If the info was clear in the listing, the buyer would have to pay for return shipping to the U.S. which would be a minimum of $15. If the listing was misleading, the seller will have to pay for return shipping.

You thought you were ordering a black skirt with a zipper down the front?
You received a silver skirt with no zipper?
That's a simple Item Not As Described dispute.
Go to the Resolution Centre.
You received a silver skirt with a zipper?
The listing showed the black skirt as sold out (and that title now shows only a silver skirt).
What you thought you ordered is not what you did order.
You have a Buyer's Remorse dispute. You can still return the skirt, with Confirmation of Delivery, but you have to pay the return shipping.
You can also:
Resell the skirt with correct description on eBay or elsewhere.
Give the skirt to a friend or family member.
Donate the skirt to charity.

As the OP mentioned earlier, she ordered the black skirt that is showing in the galler pic. She received a black skirt without a front zippe.
The title and description specify a zipper.
This is not a buyer's remorse case.

You got it right pj. No buyers remorse here...
