Now isn't that strange. I have found in the past that if I turn my computer right off and then on again it corrects a lot of things that don't work properly. I just did that now and my keyboard is back to speaking anglais...oops, English.
Computers are weird.
Thanks for your help Triber and ThestuffofChris.

I am not very computer savvy, but once in a while this happens to me. On the bar at the bottom of the page at the right hand side with icons for speakers etc, there is an oblong box, and when I click on it, it gives options for language. I always click on US. I hope that helps.

This has happened to me before, and it's a relatively quick fix. What seems to happen is the keyboard gets switched to French or Multilingual, resulting in the function of some keys being changed. (I blame the little gremlins in our computers.)
I'm not sure which operating system you have, so the exact wording may be different for you, but if you search for keyboard or language settings you should be able to find it. As triber mentioned, you may even have a little keyboard icon in your taskbar, somewhere near the time, which you would just have to click on to change back to English.
Sorry for the somewhat vague instructions. Every operating system (and every version of each operating system) is a little different, making it more difficult to give more precise instructions.

Hi Triber,
I donèt see anything like that on my keyboard so I tried some keys here and there but still canèt seem to find anything that will give me that option. Thanks for you suggestion though.
I have a Logitech wireless keyboard if that helps anyone to figure it out.

Thank you stuff.
I checked different keys and eventually clicked on my Settings. Everything seems to be set for English so it is strange that it comes out as something else. I have had it happen occasionally before too. Maybe i just hit the wrong key sometimes and that causes the change.
I think you are right...itès the gremlins.

There are some keyboard shortcuts that might be accidentally hit to change a keyboard. If I look online, I found references to CTRL SHIFT changes the language or the keyboard. Also LEFT-ALT SHIFT may do the same.
I sometimes hit the CTRL key instead of the SHIFT key and CTRL combined with letters typed when you wanted to capitalize a word will do some strange things. In Microsoft Word it closed my document with no save because of some combination I hit, in the browser it opens up windows or backspaces me out of a page.
So I think you hit a wrong combination of SHIFT when you wanted to capitalize something and hit CTRL or some other shortcut and changed the language. However it happened it was a temporary change and restarting the computer fixed it as it went back to the defaults.

I tried the CTRL SHIFT and LEFT-ALT SHIFT and it did not change the language for me. But I configure my computer to not show the language toolbar at the bottom. How I do not remember.

On my laptop its Left Control + Right Shift and it toggles French/English on/off. I have it written down and posted on my desk as I seem to change to French a lot and still can't figure out why!
