I list on .com using latest version of TL. Recently noticed the expected delivery dates when checking my items on .com are not correct.
For instance: item no. 180736186078, I use economy shipping from outside US which is 13-22 days and it shows Nov. 2 - 16. For all other countries (not Canada) I use Expedited International Shipping which should be 13 - 22 days and on .com it shows 18-27 days. I have a 2 day handling time.
For Canada I use Standard Int. Shipping when listing on .com.
What on earth am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts, I can't figure it out!

I wish Vincenzo (or anyone else at eBay.ca or eBay.com familiar with the problem) would join the conversation on this thread for all Canadian users to understand the problem and its eventual solution (hopefully).
Unfortunately, the title suggests the problem is Turbo Lister related. It is not. It affects ALL sellers.

I agree that the title with TL is misleading. But the major issue is fixed now so many sellers will never know there was an issue. But some may have lost sales over this while it showed for a week with the long estimated times. Sigh ..
I sent Vincenzo an email about the remaining discrepancy in estimated time with auction and fixed price. I asked that he reply here in this topic.

Hi Pierre,
Here is the logic:
Fixed price item: Delivery estimates show as if the item was purchased today which is the logical thing to show to a buyer viewing the listing.
For the auction, it ends in 3 days, so the system uses the auction end date since the item will not be sold or shipped before that.
That explains why you see a 3 days difference between your fixed price and your auction listings.
I hope it helps asnwer the question.

Thank you Vincenzo for your post.
I am now more confused. I took a loot at some fixed price listings (buy it now) and I find:
United States Canada Post Light Packet USA Between 9-11 business days
instead of actual dates as shown in my listings.
Where is the logic of showing estimated dates for some and estimate transit time for others - both listings being fixed price listings? One (mine is on .com and the other (330625741318) on eBay.ca )
Does eBay.ca refect a different philosophy than eBay.com on the subject?

ps - If I change the country to "Canada" (from USA) on that listing, I now get estimated dates:
Canada Standard Shipping (Canada Post Regular Parcel) Between Mon. Oct. 31 and Thu. Nov. 10
So, the question is now why show dates in some instances and transit time in others - for the same listing?

For the auction, it ends in 3 days, so the system uses the auction end date since the item will not be sold or shipped before that.
That explains it, Thanks Vincenzo.

Pierre, I was just writing a post about that.....There shouldn't be a eta for the U.S. on .ca generated listings.
According to the FAQ on the 2011 Spring Update, LINK listings done on .ca will not show a delivery time for the U.S. or other international countries.
This seems to be working properly if I list an item on .ca and look at it on .ca. When viewed on com, it also works if I use a generic term such as standard Int'l shipping (item 270829998184)
But if I list on .ca and use a specific service such as light packet or small packet USA and then view it on .com (which is where most Americans are going to see it) there is an estimated 10-16 days delivery time shown.
Same listing on ca does not show a delivery time
This has to be a glitch because it was never announced, a seller is not made aware of any delivery times when choosing the various shipping options and it show up only on .com even though the listing originated on .ca.

"For the auction, it ends in 3 days, so the system uses the auction end date since the item will not be sold or shipped before that."
While I understand the concept, I do not think it is the right thing to do.
"will not be sold" ???
With most auction listings having a seven day duration, the "estimated delivery date" seems to be far in the future if one looks at the listing early. Then you have auction listings with the BIN option? How are those handled? Do they show actual dates (which would not be applicable if BIN is used) or estimated transit time?
Why not make it easy and offer transit time only?
