Does anyone else find it bizarre that it's a 27-hour listing sale? Why the extra 3 hours???

Starting Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 00:00:01 ET (12:00 AM plus one second) and ending Thursday, August 14, 2008 02:59:59 ET (02:59 AM plus 59 seconds).

All the Canadian only listing promotions last for 27 hours, it was initially done to shut up a bunch of west coast whiners.

I guess the Americans didn't whine enough if the .com promotions are 24-hours.... they have a west coast, don't they?

Ah.... the envy of the Torontonians - when we ski in the morning, play a round of golf in the afternoon and then relax on the boat at suppertime, watching the orcas go by...;-)

.com runs on Pacific time. .ca is on Eastern time. That made promos on .ca end at 9:00PM local time for us west coasters, which didn't always give us much time to list - especially if we get notice late too. (Receiving notices of cheap listing days 20 minutes before they ended or even after the fact was not fun.) The notices usually come earlier now so the extra time is no longer as important as it once was. (Still like to take advantage of it at busier times of the year though. Allows me to list at later times for the night owls out there for less!)

Why call us west coasters whiners?
Doesn't the east coast benefit from the extra 3 hours TOOOOO!!!!!!
Shhhhsh, they get extra time and then call us the whiners......:O;-)
