There's a new search engine site that will not only direct buyers to eBay but to all the other auction venues as well including the free ones. It's called MOAAS for "Mother of All Auction Searches" I wonder how it's going to do for traffic?

I just tried running a few searches - results were gibberish. Have you tried it?

It worked on most of my listings but I informed one of the designers ahead of time, via a ddiscussion board, which venues I'm using to sell merchandise.

Come to think of it it didn't show my Yahoo listing. I didn't know myself that I was still listed there until I sold a couple of cameras tonight.

I guess they're still just learning to walk at MOAAS.

how do they plan on getting the word out?

I've asked that question on the PS Unite board. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from them.

Here's the response from MOAAS:

"Well right now moaas is still in beta. Once all the bugs are worked out I will start concentrating on getting the word out. But the more people using it now the better that way I can find the bugs quicker and can test how many searches moaas can handle.

One way to get the word out is that I am going to create a snippit of code that anyone can put on their site to search moaas. If anyone has any good ideas on please post."

I come across a number of this type of search engine, all they need is a billion dollar IPO ant eh virgin mary on a grilled cheese.

Whatever happened to "mamma" (billed as the mother of all search engines)? I think maybe Ask Jeeves bought them, Ask jeeves was just bought up by somebody...oh yeah the shopping channel guy. Everybody want to be the new Google just like they all used to want to be the next eBay or Amazon. Eventually another will come along but don't get too excited.

Actually I just checked, they (mamma) are still around but does anyone use them?
