If I go to my summary page there is no way to get to Selling Manager page, it takes me to .com only. I wanted to see if I had received the Promo offer for Canadian listings but can't get there to see it and It won't show up on .com, only on .ca.
I tried on numerous browsers and my ipad too. Same thing. I know I used to be able to go to Manage My Store and from there to Selling Manager but can't even do that now as no more Manager My Store either on my home page on .ca. On my other store ID it works okay.
Please help!!
Try this...
Double click on my ebay at the top of the page..DO NOT click on summary.That should take you to selling manager.
Or, On the summary page, click on all selling and near the bottom (left side I think) you should see the promo offfers.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for keeping yesterday's announcement out of today's session! 🙂 I'll address your questions regardless, but for sake of other sellers who may not see what you posted here, let's bring this discussion to the appropriate thread. Thanks!

"...but still is not showing in selling manager....'
Some promotions are site specific. As such some (not all) promotions on eBay.ca will NOT be seen when you look at the Selling Manager on eBay.com but will be seen when you look at your Selling Manager on eBay.ca (if you are registered)

That is appalling, Angela Stairs announcement said... "I acknowledge that this change will create work for our affected sellers. The eBay Canada team will be working hard to help these sellers through this transition. The custom eBay Listing Migration Tool we’re building is just one example of our commitment to supporting our affected sellers."
You are not providing any tools that shows you are "working hard to help sellers through this transition".
Not only that, you disign the promotion to be the most hurtful and work-making by using it as an opportunity to push the CAD only listing agenda at a time when the Listing Migration Tool is not available, The Listing Migration Tool is needed today, not in 6 weeks!
How thoughtless. Shame on ebay!
ight.coin,
I would have loved to have the migration tool ready today as well, however it isn't ready yet. It will be launched in May.

For us Canadians who do already list on .com a promotion for .com listings as well would have been nice. I think some sellers got one but (and I could be wrong) I think they were maybe legacy sellers. I do continue to list anyway and pay the fees but I feel a bit left out. 😀😟
Hi vintagenorth,
The US promo team manages the US promos. I'm not sure what the criteria was for this particular promo.

If we are a Canadian listing on .com, will be cut off from .com listing specials as we are not in the US?
Are we better off to move those listings to our actual .com account in the US to get listing specials on .com.
This is very crucial to where stores are located and where and how we list.
Hi dutchman,
It's true that as a Canadian seller, even if you always list on eBay.com, there are times where you won't be included in US promos, because they are US promos.
Just a couple of things I need to set straight:

@dutchman48 wrote:
Are we still going to get our 20% TRS FVF discount as a Canadian listing on .com from Canada or will they be removing that as well?
There are no changes coming to how Canadians get measured for their Seller Standards.

@dutchman48 wrote:
Will they also be removing our ability to list equal amounts on .ca and .com as we are the only country that can do that now with a store.
In other words, if we have a store right now we can list 300 on .ca and 300 on .com. How long before we can only list 300 on .ca and 50 on .com?
There are no changes coming to how the free listing allotment per site currently works.

@dutchman48 wrote:
How long before they change the TRS requirements on .ca to be the same as other countries?
Not sure I understand this one. Given that the only countries that have their own specific TRS requirements are the US, UK and Germany, one could argus that being in the Global program, Canada's TRS requirements are the same as many, many more countries that just the aforementioned 3.
@dutchman48 wrote:
How long before what is listed on .com will not receive the discount any more as we are not meeting .com requirements?
There are no changes coming to how Canadian sellers' TRS discounts work with regards to items listed on eBay.com.

Hi msmaggie060,
Your Selling Manager subscription is site-specific. All you need to do is subscribe to SM on eBay.ca as well, it's free.

Hi pj, nope doesn't work. Just takes me to eBay.com to sign in there. This changed just recently in last few weeks I think. Never had this problem before. I know on my other store ID I can access it from either .Ca or .com
03-23-2016 04:53 PM
Well thanks! Strange but I am positive I have been able to access before! Seniors moment, maybe?
03-23-2016 04:56 PM
I have used all my free regular listings for this month.
I tested one fixed price listing in Can $ on .ca and it did not charge me.
There is still nothing showing on Selling Manager as far as the special I accepted and the listing I am assuming it went againstwent against.
Isn't Ebay a joy!

Hi dutchman,
It's true that as a Canadian seller, even if you always list on eBay.com, there are times where you won't be included in US promos, because they are US promos.
Just a couple of things I need to set straight:
- As a Canadian eBay user, you can't have an eBay.com account unless you registered it before eBay.ca existed. The only way you can open an account on eBay.com is if your address is located in the US. If your address is in Canada, your account will be attached to eBay.ca even if you create it on eBay.com.
- Which site you open your store on bears no effect on what site you're attached to as a seller. The only different are in which currency your store subscription is: open a store on eBay.com and you'll be charged in USD, open it on eBay.ca, the subscription will be charged in CAD. One is clearly better than the other.

I already have a US .com account, a US Paypal account, a US address, and a US bank account. and have had for more than 5 years.
That is why I would like an answer to my question

dutchman, I wonder why you never feel like I answer your questions. I did answer your question. The short version is: it doesn't matter. As a Canadian seller, your account is a eBay.ca account (despite what you might think) and whether you list on eBay.ca or eBay.com, as long as you have shipping specified to both Canada and the US, doesn't matter at all in terms of who sees and can buy your items.

Folks, I'm leaving for now but will be back, maybe later tonight and for sure tomorrow. See you soon!

Hi Raphael,
I have a question that has nothing to do with the currency exchange but is related to your favorite topic...the U.S. cart.
I see many posts from U.S. sellers saying that their buyers can commit to purchase an item and then pay later. When they write these posts they are often talking about multiple items that one buyer has committed to pay but not yet paid so I know that ipr was not required in that situation. But I also see other sellers who say that some or all of their buyers are required to pay right away. You've said that all listings on .com have forced ipr but that doesn't seem to be true.
When sellers have made a comment about their buyers not needing to pay right away I try clicking on buy it now on one of their purchases but the system never allows me the commit to buy/pay later option, it always asks me to pay right away. Is it possible that the requirement is buyer specific, not seller specific? Or perhaps the system is set up so that all international buyers have to pay right away if they don't use the cart?
Regardless, there seems to be some way to specify which sellers listings have ebay required ipr and/or which buyers have it. If that's the case, there should also be a way for ebay to NOT require ipr on international sellers so that buyers can make more than one purchase at a time. Is it possible to look into that?

I will try this again.
I have a Canadian registered Ebay account which is on .ca. I also have a US registered Ebay account which is on .com.
Two totally different accounts with different ID's
I list on the Canadian ID on both .ca and .com and only list on the US ID on .com.
If the listing specials on .ca will not apply to anything listed on .com under my .ca ID, I am thinking of moving them to the .com site under my US ID.
I have far more items to list on the Canadian ID on .com than I do on .ca so no listing specials for those .com listings will hurt me far more.
I also have a store on .ca but if I lose all the specials on the Canada ID (for .com listings), I will close my .ca store, open a store on the US ID and move all the listings from the Canadian ID listed on .com to my other ID in the US.
Now maybe you can understand the question. It had absolutely nothing to do with your things you needed to get straight.
I am trying to make best use of the listing specials and where it is most benefit to have my store.
Now I would like a simple yes or no to my question:
If we use our Canadian ID and list on .com, will we be precluded from any .com specials and not be able to list more on .com?

I am not Raphael, but I think I know the explanation. It is not really seller specific or buyer specific. It depends on the category and/or the amount of $ involved. I don't know the exact number, but I think items of more than - say - $100 can be purchased without paying immediately.
Either that, or the buyer does not commit to buy from eBay.COM
Raphael can correct me if I'm wrong 😉

I opened my store on eBay.ca and I am charged in US $. Simply because that is the way I chose to be billed. But that could change with the currency change... I am still not sure what to do....
