"Actually, my bad. I just re-read the answer I got."
OK - I just saw your answer.
Can you then confirm, in plain language, that Canadian sellers can avoid that mess by simply adding "pick up" availability in their listings?
Once a buyer clicks "Buy-it-Now" it is sold. Out of the system. 🙂

In the shipping section, local pickup is only available when using Flat Rate Shipping. You cannot offer Local pickup on Calculated shipping. I posted about his issue in the first and second Weekly sessions. Local pickup should be available for Calculated shipping. Will local pickup be available for calculated shipping?
Hi pocomocomputing,
Turns out this isn't a bug. The lack of local pick up on calculated shipping exists on all eBay sites and is due to technical limitations which I cannot get into the details. So the answer is yes, we will eventually make local pick up available on calculated shipping listings. When will it be done? I really can't say at this time.

Yes. for now, Canadian sellers (or US sellers for that matter) can avoid having buyers go through the pay-to-own buying flow if they offer local pick up on their listing. This will not always be the case though.
