From today's announcement on the eBay.ca announcement board:

"A few key upcoming dates:
Starting October 1 and through the end of the year, sellers will get a free Subtitle listing upgrade, and eligible PowerSellers will get double their Final Value Fee discounts for items sold with free shipping."

Could you please provide clear guidelines on the meaning of the above sentence.

Will the double rebate apply to listings uploaded to the site after September 30th only or will it apply to listings uploaded from today on and sold after September 30th?

Will the double rebate apply when sellers offer "free shipping" to combined purchases exceeding a specific amount ($25 for example) even though individual listings may not offer "free shipping" being priced under $25 ? .

I have been able to get an answer on your first question. Both the free subtitle and double discounts will apply to listings uploaded to the site between October 1 and December 31 (and meeting the free shipping criteria).

Still hunting down the combined shipping answer ...

In an email I (and most sellers) received from eBay today:

"Get an added boost with free shipping

PowerSellers: You'll get double your PowerSeller Final Value Fee discounts on items with free shipping sold from October 1 through December 31."

If eBay meant sales from listings uploaded to the site after September 30th, why not clearly say so?

The statement "sold from October 1 through December 31" is clearly misleading if items sold after from October 1st do not qualify for the added discount because the qualifying "free shipping" listings were uploaded prior to October 1st. .

Thank you for pointing that out - I will pass this feedback over to the Marketing team and see what can be done to clarify this.

In regards to your second question, the double rebate and free Subtitle offers do not apply when sellers offer "free shipping" to combined purchases. There must be at least one shipping option on the listing that is listed as $0 in order for the item to be eligible for the free shipping incentives.

Thanks for raising these questions, as I'm sure others will have similar inquiries going forward. I'll make sure Customer Support has these answers on hand.
