Is ebay going to expand on the variant listings? This would be of great benefit in electronics as well as other categories. When I list chains, ropes, bungee chord, anchors etc it would make more sense to have one listing with all sizes just like with clothing.

Well, wait and see what's in store in the Spring Seller Update. I for one am beginning to dread them, but maybe this year they'll throw us a few bones.

Ebay.com has more categories with multi variations listings so you might want to see if they have it for the categories that you list in.

My store is on ebay.ca. I doo all of my listings there. They need to add the multi listings to far more categories.

Would these be the bones of past sellers who gave up from previous seller updates?

You are welcome to wait for them to do so but in the meantime you may want to do some listings on .com. It doesn't matter where your store is, you can list on either site.
