I'm an experienced seller but have run into a problem with the US/International portions of the shipping calculator that I can't seem to resolve.
When creating my listings, if I enter weight and/or measurement figures that don't meet the requirements of the shipping method that I have chosen, an error message appears telling me that my figures don't match the requirements so that I can choose another shipping method. However, there are times when eBay does not let you know that you have made a mistake, and you only find this out when a potential buyer writes to ask what the shipping charge will be, or a buyer writes to tell you that there is no shipping charge in your invoice.
I count on eBay to tell me when I have chosen the wrong shipping method for my parcel, and I don't understand why it doesn't always do this. Does anyone know why for some shipping methods that you choose an error message appears, but for others it does not? Thanks!
