Negative feedback from newbie

Sold my very last item on ebay to a newbie.  She left negative feedback the moment she got the coat.  I have no idea why.  No communication from her.  She left 4 negs. to other sellers in the last little while, so I would call her  a "feedback destroyer".  I looked at the "report this buyer", but the options are limited, leaves no room for comments.  As sales have dwindled to near nothing, I was going to cancel my account anyway.  This just confirmed for me, it's time to leave.  As a seller, I would have liked the option to choose who I sell to, the restrictions are far too generous.  Who has -1 feedback?

So I went to cancel my account.  I have to wait 30 days, even though my sales are completed and feedback has been left.  I don't like loose ends, but I suppose I'll have to wait till the new year.  Cheers all.

Please raise this at Board Hour. It's right now, happening at this moment. Maybe there is something that can be done to help. A buyer who leaves only negatives smells of malicious purchasing.

Oh, what an awful way to have to end your career on eBay, I completely sympathize.  And I see your buyer got that item for a good price too.  I understand your feelings about not wanting to bother dealing with trying to get that negative removed, but it must feel like a last kick in the pants as you go out the door... 

I'm sad to hear that you're packing up and leaving, but I can't say I'm surprised.  So many of us who were eBay's "traditional" small sellers are struggling to make ends meet.  I'm just limping along myself, and hoping 2016 won't be the finish of me here. 

Once eBay loses too many of its traditional "boutique" sellers, it will also lose the interest of the buyers who would have come to this site seeking out OOAK, vintage, or unique items.  I suspect many of them have already gone elsewhere.  

Very sad all around, but I wish you the best in whatever you're doing in the future.
