I received it for both .ca and .com

I guess it is by invitation only as I did not receive it by email or through "my messages" and it does NOT appear in my Selling Manager on .ca or .com.
Oh well, life does go in.

They just appeared on the promotional offers section on the "My eBay" page.

50K? I only received an invite for 500 fixed priced listings.
I received an email invite for all 4 sites, but only two of them worked so I called CS.
She said there was nothing she could do because I needed to have the invite show up in my messages.
It wasn't there when I activated the 2 that worked, they showed up the next day and it might show up on this site, but it tends to be quite tardy, (like the day after the sale is over) or as the last one showed to be, retarded. It was in my messages, activated it twice, but when I got to the end of my 50 free, it was starting to charge me fees.
The later may be because it was a .com listing sale and I was listing on .ca, There is always that possibility that they will refund, or not the fees. With feeling like my stock is invisible, and my guaranteed income supplement cut in half because revenue Canada lost my TI forms sent in by the Trustee, it didn't make sense to risk it.
Truly with the percentages of sales being in the low single digits, listing fees are out of the question.
I do remember a survey asking if they should do away with them all together on .ca. I had other fish to fry that day so left the box unchecked.
At least tptb are thinking about it.

I had this one for a couple of months and then it disappeared. It's a different kind of promotion than the announced time-specific ones as it always starts and ends on the first of the month, no matter when you happen to receive it. A few sellers on this forum have reported receiving it but there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it.

Hi Diane, several sellers who attended the last ebay conference in Vegas stated that they were advised by ebay that GTC was the way to go. I was like you thinking that renewing them every time put you in the newly listed best match. I think that someone that attended the conference can provide more info on that.

Yeah sure that eBay thinks that GTC was the way to go, of course eBay would love that if any of us forgot to end their GTC listings before the date and they get to charge us the hefty insertion fees. I had to post a post-it-note by the computer to remind me to end my listings before the date(s) so I don't get charged for the insertion fees. Have to watch out.

I got invitations for both ca and com and am glad because the last 3 months with this free promos, I was able to sell various items and this long weekend, I sold 18 items on ca and com and it is doing very well than usual. It used to be very well when I sold up to 10 items daily in 2008 to 2012 until eBay changed something.

You sold that much?
I had to check to see what you are selling and there is nothing showing when I click the link to see them.
Might be the invisibility syndrome I was speaking of?
I have not sold a thing this weekend on my site with the TRS seal or any other site. So far I had one message about shipping from Africa where the listing states because of the weight it is only available to Canada and the Us, the other message they wanted me to break up a collection, that I never do unless they make me an offer I can't refuse. (They made no offer.)
I did sell something on my newest site, but they have not paid yet and my radar tells me they probably won't.
At least my stock is somewhat visible in the wee small hours.

I haven't gotten any.
Looks like when you list on .com you don't get many promotional offers 😞

honeybed1950 is a posting id for that seller. The sales mentioned are on their other selling ids.

This US Id is for the purpose so I can buy and bid from US sellers (when they refused to ship to Canada) and have them ship to my friend in Grand Forks ND which I go down there every month to pick them up and also doing shopping. Grand Forks have fantastic stores comparing to Winnipeg Manitoba and with awesome low prices that time before the Dollar went crazy.
I didn't want anyone to see my listings on ca, as I get way too many criticisms that were uncalled for. Now you get it.
Today I woke up to found I sold another 5 items and I have over 30 packages that need to be packed which I will print PayPal labels and packed them before I drop them off at the drop off area before I go to bed. My building has a row of mail boxes and an area for drop off which the post lady will take them to the post office for us which is awesome. If not for that, I would be unable to ship my items at any time, like next day expect during the weekends and holidays, like maybe once every 2 weeks not good for eBay dealings.
Sorry you cannot see my listings on ca. Thanks. Have a nice day.

Congratulations Honey on doing so well. What's your secret? Can I ask how many listings do you have that you sold 30 for the weekend.

I also took notice of the comments made by sellers who attended the conference that GTC would provide higher visibility because, as the number of views goes up, the listing rises in search.
Since that time, I've been re-listing as GTC and selecting that for new listings as well. Up until now, I understood that Sell Similar was better because new listings get better visibility. Now I don't know what to think. I have noticed, though, that whenever I list new items, I get several sales within a short period of time. For instance, yesterday afternoon I had time to list about 15 new items. Within 30 minutes I had 3 sales and I hadn't had any all weekend. And the items purchased were not the ones I just listed but ones that had been around for a while.
Trying to analyze how best to utilize Search is above my pay grade, I'm afraid.

Hi jt, I'm a little dense. Do you think GTC is good or bad for you? Where the ones with the sales, GTC?
For me, after I heard what was said at the conference in Vegas, I started to change all my listings to GTC. It's a little early to tell either way for me. I am dealing with the other issue that all that I listed on August 31 is a ghost on any other site other than the one I listed on.

I think it's too soon to tell whether or not it was a good move to switch to GTC. My sales were not great in August, but that could be attributed to back to school issues, etc . I was hoping someone with more knowledge about Search could offer some insight about GTC vs 30 Day listings.
The 3 sales I mentioned were GTC; however, it's happened before that when I submit a bunch of new listings, I get a few sales within a short period of time and, previously, they were 30-day listings.

I read about your problem and had a look-see but I can't see why that is happening. Hopefully Raphael can help you tomorrow.
