Feedback is important but why make it more complicated?

FB for shipping charges? Exactly! eBay wants us to incorporate the cost of shipping in asking price to charge us more for final value fee....

No body ever asked me if I want to receive feedback for shipping time... the feedback is for Canada Post not me 😞

I didn't know that the new FB system was coming... I spend a lot of time on eBay and I didn't know...

While a repeat/multiple buyer's Pos/Neut/Neg Feedback only counts once toward your overal % score, each individual item that feedback is posted for is counted separately toward the 4 star rating. So if you have one disgruntled buyer who bought a dozen items, then flames you, only one neg will count but you'll get 12 dings to your stars.

I saw this on another board but I can't find eBay data. Does anyone here know?

Exactly! Two last should be described as "Canada Post Feedback". Did I have ANY infulence on shipping costs/time?
It's ridulous! Here an original email I got from a Canadian Customer: You yourself state that you are willing to send from Canada to US for 5.50 USD. Then further away, Worldwide (or international, eg. to Russia, Japan, Australia, etc) for 6.50 USD. But your fellow citizen, fellow Canadian, to send within Canada you charge ... 7.50 USD!!!?? I hope it is just a misprint on your invoice or other mistake. IMAGINE WHAT RATING WILL I GET FROM OTHER CANADIANS! :_|

I dont like the fact that buyers can see the sale price. its going to kill our sales when we offer a "best offer" option as the buyers can look in teh past and see what the lowest price the item sold was. bad bad bad.

thats and im not a fan of the stars eithor, i cant reply to it if someone leaves me a bad rating. i cant even see who leaves it. its just there and ill never know why or who. buyers are anomonous (sp?) and can leave me a positive feedback but 0 stars just cuz they feel like it and know I wont know they did it and dont try and say there arent people out there like that.

I also agree with teh fact that ebay is using this to have us raise our price sto lower shipping costs for better stars so they can charge higher value fees. not good for teh seller.

very very bad all around IMO i dont like it.

I don't need to check anything, because I know the prices.
The people are lazy and WILL NOT got to the Canada Post website to check the prices. They will simply think you overcharge. AND WILL LEAVE APPROPRIATE RATING. Bestshowtime, you don't live in Canada, so you don't know our CP's prices - but here E-V-E-R-Y Canadian seller KNOWS, that shipping (small packet) from Vancouver to Toronto is TWICE MORE EXPENSIVE than shipping from Vancouver to Miami, Rio de Janeiro or Johannesburg.

montreal, i think what bestshowtime was saying is when a cx complains to you about shipping within canada, email them the link to canadapost.ca so they can see for themselves that its more expensive to ship to them as opposed to the states...

I say give this new feedback 2.0 some time. The stars haven't affected my sells yet. I think having a perfect score on shipping is like imposible. And it might help those that have great customer service to differenciate them selves from the rest of Ebay sellers.
