Feedback is important but why make it more complicated?

FB for shipping charges? Exactly! eBay wants us to incorporate the cost of shipping in asking price to charge us more for final value fee....

Ebay DOES seem to be less Seller Friendly with each passing day. This latest hindrance is something not worth the trouble they took to install it. They should have called it the NITPICK YOUR SELLER section of the feedback forum, as that is what it will amount to eventually. Let's hope they have made the new feedback so complicated for buyers, that they just skip it all together.

But on the whole, EBay is slowly making me richer than I've ever been before. New Car, new house, sales increasing every month, 50% profit margin on most items. When I compare Ebay to the complaints I had with my employer, when I was an hourly drone, I'm pretty happy on Ebay.

Ya it should be called "Pick on the seller"
Tea... yes I'm still happy with eBay ... I stay home with my kids and make some money ... but with the feedback they just went to far... how about all the unfair feedback we sellers receive just because buyer had bad day? Ooo... yes there is a way to remove it but we have to pay for it, and even then it will stay there...

What I think about new feedback system?
Look at my feedback - for many many years I had 100% - now I got 95% during one week (look at the stars!!!). And I don't understand WHY exactly. Of course, it's anonymous!
Is it really POSSIBLE, that after receiving 3700 perfect feedback in just FEW DAYS I got 95%? Did I become a bad guy during ONE WEEK? IT IS A F*** JOKE!
My reputation is ruined - and I even don't know WHY!? And WHO did it! WHY I can not SEE what really happened? And why I can not leave a feedback for "communication" or "slow payment"? Sorry.... I will vomit.. ;-(

And to Ebay staff: if the new rating is so smart as you think - please TRY TO FIND in my 3733 feedbacks ONLY ONE showing "bad description", "bad communication", "slow shipping" or "high S/H charges"!!!! If your new feedback system is so good, you should find about 185 (5%)!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! Why ALL NEWS AND IDEAS COMING FROM EBAY ARE B-A-D!!?? Will I see one day a new thread starting with "Ebay introduced something new! It's fantastic! I love it" WILL I?

montrealmaps-your feedback IS really impressive! yes, this new FB system is totally unfair and uncalled for in my opinion, not asking sellers their thoughts on it, and allowing us to get scored by cx's we don't know, and not being able to respond. just another reason why ebay has sellers by their b*lls, and it pretty much comes down to the same old story-"you don't like it..? leave..."

My last 10 feedbacks are all excellent...mentioning product, communication, delivery time and I only charge $3.95 + free additional items for s/h.....why don't I have 5 FULL STARS? If I am supposed to do better as a seller, at least TELL ME how, in what area? Why can't we see the details? Is it all a big secret? "There's something that I don't like about you, But....I'm not going to tell you what it is......How Silly is That!

Of course, its really stupid - but what else do you expect from eBay these days?

Most buyers find it hard to rate a perfect 5 out of 5 for every category; it's not the same as 'overall positive or negative', where they have to pick just one .
I don't think you'll find any seller with five full stars in every category.

The worst thing here, in my view, is the item title detail and price paid. This will pretty much kill the 'Best Offer' feature. Because of this, lots of sellers will be going to private auctions, which can only help scammers hide in the crowd.

Exactly the same situation. It's confusing! Have I 100% feedback OR 90% (4,5 / 5 stars)? Should I improve something? But WHAT? Everything? For 3700 feedback I got 0 negatives and only two neutral (one by mistake, another one becausse the item was destroyed by the post), but I HAVE TO IMPROVE!
Next message we will get from Ebay will be: "our new fabulous feedback system needs more staff, so we have to increase the listing fees". EBAY - IMPROVE YOURSELF!!!!

No problem with this, they had to do something about the automatic retaliation many sellers did to dissuade any negative ratings. Having the prices/items show ends the usefullness of the .01 gmail, recipe etc (though I don't know why they didn't just not allow low price BIN a long time ago). No one will have all 5.0, who cares? Doesn't stop sales at the river.

Where did you get this idea? eBay have held discussions with sellers for more than 9 months on feedback 2.0, it's been rolled out and tested in other countries for 2 months.
