New Image Requirements come October.

What a pain!

Having to sort through tons of images and either reformat them or re-shoot them to meet the requirement that images must be at leat 600px on the longest side is a real burden at least for me.

I feel like an employee having to working overtime without pay.

New Image Requirements come October.

The minimum is 500 pixels, not 600.

The original deadline given in the 2012 Spring Seller Update was a vague sometime in the fall. In the 20122 Fall Seller Update, it was changed that you have to have a picture and all other requirements were moved to Feb 2013. Too much work to make changes to photos.

See here for the 2012 Fall Seller Update change to the 500 pixel deadline.

The link I gave does not say Feb 2013 but just a general 2013 date. I misread the page to say Feb. See below.

When will the 2013 picture quality requirements take effect?

The dates for the 2013 picture requirements have not been finalized. When they are, we'll let sellers know with adequate notice to complete the adoption of their listings to the changes. In the meantime, we encourage all sellers to continue taking action now to be ready for the enforcement of requirements in 2013, including making sure all new listings include pictures that meet the new quality requirements.

Use some automation, for example IrfanView Batch Conversion (File -> Batch conversion/rename). Resample entire folder of images with few clicks. Can do mass watermarking, cropping, renaming, resampling and resizing and much more.
