New Seller Shipping Advice

Hi guys,

          I'm planning on starting a small business here.  I will be selling relatively small and light weight product that can be placed in a padded envelope roughly within 30-50g in a 4x8 envelope.  I haven't done any shipping internationally or within Canada, so any advice will be great.  I will be shipping within Canada and U.S only.  I just need your advice on shipping rates for domestic and to U.S through Canada post.  I have read that printing labels through paypal is the best option.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks.

Then it sounds like you're set. But do experiment with weights and dimensions on the Canada Post website.

Just a word of caution, if you ask 5 postmasters the same question, you often will get 6 different answers.

If you don't already know of this, here are links to the import rules although in my experience, I have customers importing stuff beyond what it says is allowed (I sell stamps and some countries restrict how many they can import, although regularly I have customers successfully buying more than their limit)
