With all the talk about the new policies soon to be in effect (mid June), I was wondering how many of you are ready? They talk of a limited grace period after mid June, but personally, I'd rather be ahead of the game, as redoing listings is so time consuming.
With regards to the payment options and the other new rules coming into effect in two weeks, I have just been revamping a few of my listings a day until they all comply. I had been procrastinating long enough, and now I have been doing 5-10 a day for a few weeks and have about 75 % done. Next week they will be all done, and I will be able to get to some of the new stock into the mix that I need to get up and running.
I know I could have revamped a bunch of listings in bulk, but I have been using these new changes as a positive, and increasing shipping prices, item prices where needed, and modifying things that I have been meaning to get done for some time. Sometimes it's good to have a little "push", and it will mean way better profits in the end.
I have always shown a return policy on my listings so that one is easy.
And although I accept all forms of payment already on my website store, I am showing my eBay listings as "Paypal Preferred" within the listings to simplify things (I'd rather my buyers pay me with Paypal anyway)- and I am using my ME page to give buyers info on other payment options and more insightful info on return and shipping policies, etc, as eBay does not allow enough space on the listing page to properly tell buyers what you really need them to know.
I had a Powerseller support person call me (out of the blue) a couple of weeks ago to go over some of these new policies and she recommend that to avoid redoing your listings over and over and over with new rules all the time, just to keep your listings relatively simple, and add more of the meat and potatoes details to your ME page. At least your ME page can be altered very easily in a couple of minutes at any time and won't affect your listings. Just a thought.
Cheers,
AXE
