Hi everyone!
Three months ago, eBay told me my TRS status in the US was at risk. It didn't bother me that much, because I always thought that the discount was given based on my worldwide sales, and I meet ALL the requirements for those.
However, three months later, my dashboard indicate that I do not qualify for the discount anymore... what? Has it changed? Do we need to be a TRS worldwide AND in the US to get the discount now?
For more details and screenshots, you can look at the following thread I made:
http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/TRS-discount/m-p/156961#U156961
You also have my permission to take a look at my profile. 🙂 Thanks!

Hi lady.stark,
Canadian sellers will get the 20% FVF discount applied to all the items they list on eBay.ca and eBay.com whether they meet the TRS requirements for the US or Global programs. This rule has not changed.
Your last invoice had the TRS discount on it, despite what your seller dashboard says. Your current status suggests your next invoice will show the same. If it doesn't please let me know via email and I'll take a look.

Why has eBay taken away the VIEW ITEM feature when one browes a member's feedback? Why can't we no longer see closed auction items in ones Feedback?
According to this article:
http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y13/m10/i17/s01
"Based on customer feedback from both buyers and sellers, we have made the decision to remove the view item link and item ID information on Buyer and Seller Feedback profiles pages".
Based on which feedback? No one EVER asked me my opinion on this matter... None of my 2 IDs got a survey. Which opinion is it if they NEVER ask real sellers and buyers?
And what I don't understand, is that if a buyer doesn't want people looking at what they bought, they had and still have the possibility to have a "private" feedback.
As for sellers, if they don't want to show what they sold in the past, they can have private listings.
So... all things considered, there was absolutely no need for this change! In fact, it will just upset people who found that link useful.

Thank you Raphaël, but... why is my 20% button blank? Why the button showing the discount is at 0%? Is it a glitch?

I can't say at this time what is causing your seller dashboard to show 0% there, but as I pointed out you are in reality getting your 20% discount.
If there are ever any discrepancy between your seller dashboard and your invoice, your invoice is the one with the right information.

Well... I'll wait until next month and hope I will get my discount, because I definitely qualify for it. But if for some reason I don't get the discount, can I write you in private?

Of course! I did suggest you contact me if you saw any problems in the next invoice in my first response. 🙂

Hello lady.stark,
Thank you for your comments on this change, please understand our intentions are pure and we evaluate many types of feedback not only survey type feedback. We will forward your comments to the appropriate teams.
Thanks,

eBay Sell Your Item Exclude countries.
I recently expanded my Excluded countries list in My eBay Site Preferences to allow more countries that I will ship to. I applied this to all active listings from Site Preferences.
I have a saved template in the Sell Your Item form to start the creation of a new listing. It takes the current Excluded country list from My eBay Site Preferences when I use this template. This works fine and I get the new Excluded country list.
Now if I take an item that was in UnSold that had the old Excluded Country list, I cannot change the Excluded list to the Site Preferences list when using Relist on that one listing. I have to manually exit the exclusion list in the listings. Takes too long to do this. Why is there no option (or way) to reset the Excluded countries to the Site Preferences for a listing within the SYI form? Or is there a way that I do not see how to do this?

Hi, I use TL2 to list my items in my store. When I add excluded countries for specific listings using TL they do not show up in my actual listings. I have to go in to ebay afterwards and revise the listing for the exclusions to show up. Can you please look into this? I am not the only seller noticing this problem.
It's very easy to forget that once you have listed an item that you need to go in afterwards and revise that one particular listing. If someone from an excluded country buys the item one has no choice but to mail it.
Thanks.

Most importantly, there was absolutely no announcement at all here on eBay. Why? This is a very important feature... and its removal affects many persons, especially members of the discussion boards... without that link, it is becoming harder to help other members.
As a seller, I also counted on that link to direct other members to my items. As "rose-dee" said in the Seller Central, the "cross-pollination" was very helpful. To me, both as a buyer and a seller, but also to her and many others.

Hi pocomocomputing,
I don't know for sure but in my experience, Relist is a bit more rigid and tends to keep things much closer to the original listing. Have you tried the same but with Sell Similar instead of Relist? If there is a better way to do it, this should be it. Please let me know.

Hi Kalvin, there is a serious problem with ebay outsorcing its telephone support to Asia.
In every case I have got the Asia telephone support, I get people who come up with excuse after excuse not to follow ebay's policy.
When I am lucky enough to get though to a North American support agent, I get completely different answers, and good well supported help.
This is a very serious problem
Today is just one more example. Item number 380696483395
Today I'm faced with the problem of unfair negative feedback. My call to ebay was first answered by a North American rep who asked about my problem, and agreed the feedback qualified for removal. She took notes and forwarded my call to the feedback removal team.
After a long wait, I was connected to an Aisa outsourced person, who claimed to be part of the feedback removal team. This person could not make any deicisons and wanted 24 hours to phone be back (which is the uusal reply I get when i get that aian group). I should also add, I never get a phone call back or email.
The subject email qualifies for removal under feedback removal policy Feedback that is unrelated to a seller's performance. and under Buyer asked for terms not stated in the auction listing (extortion).
In this listing we included 24 high resolution double supersizable pictures. The listed item has a star crack in the side, which is shown in 6 of these 24 pictures - starting with the very first picture. These pictures are part of the description.
The buyer agrees that the crack in the item was shown in the pictures. It can be seen in pictures 1, 2, 8, 11. 12 and 16. Picture 16 is a close up of the crack only.
The buyer claims there were so many pictures that they made him dizzy!
They buyer asked for about 75% of his money back, he would complaint to ebay, or to return the item.
We followed ebay's policy by asking him to return the item.
Instead he left us negative feedback, and did not return the item. Clearly this buyer's true motivation was to extort a 75% refund and keep the item. He retailated to our decision to ask him to return it by leaving us negative feedback.
We followed ebay's polciy to the letter, and got negative feedback.
When we got Ebay's outsourced Asian support group, they refused to remove the feedback claiming that it did not meet ebay's removal policy. When I got them to read the policy, with me looking at the policy online at my end, it was apparent that the asian outsource group can not read english well enough to understand ebay's written policy. The Asian outsouce group were adding words to the ebay policy which did not exist in the ebay policy, to support thier decision to do nothing.
Failure to follow ebay's policy, by ebay's Asian outsource group is a very big problem.
ps, when I tried to submit this message, ebay wouldn't accept because apparently it contains HTML code?? There is not HTML code in this message.

I use FireFox browser. FireFox has a built in SpellCheck. I use the FireFox spellcheck instead of the Lithium forum SpellCheck. This way my custom dictionary is available to all sites I visit.
I recently upgraded to FireFox 24. FF 24 now ill not spellcheck these forums. This is because the forums are setup with an option to not allow external spellchecks. Prior to FF 24, the option was not enforced by FireFox so it was available.
The issue is documented in this FireFox forum post. It mentions Lithium boards being affected by this.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/971870
Now it is not a FireFox issue. The Lithium forums are set to disable external spellcheck and FF 24 is just enforcing the setting.
Is it possible to bring this up with Lithium and allow FireFox spellchecker to work?

Hi avionsunantiques,
Someone from our Trust and Safety team reach out to you about this - please sit tight. Though I can't say at this point which way this'll resolve, we'll definitely have a closer look at the issue and get back to you.
Thanks,

raphael, did you find out more on the delivery time estimates now showing in eBay.ca listings? My post detailing the time being shown seems to upset you last week since you were not told about it.
What is the status on these times? Is there an announcement on this? Are they going to be turned off or left?
