I have sent out a package on Nov 12 to a buyer in Maine. It shows on tracking that it's going back and forth between Kearney and Scarborough. What could the reason for this be and is there anything I can do? Thanks.

Contact Canada Post...
Looks to be an insurance claim.
---------------------------------------
I had a parcel that was mailed to New York....
Not delivered, buyer did not pick it up.
Parcel got back to Montreal, then Ville Marie and went back to New York... but different zip code than that of buyer.
Canada Post could not find the parcel and insurance was paid..

Sometimes things go wrong.
Many years ago.... I heard of a parcel that was to have been mailed to , and made it to Calgary... then tracking showed it went to Toronto.
Then back to Calgary
then back to Toronto
Canada Post gave up in trying to find the parcel.... stop it in transit
Seller's Winnipeg address was there on the parcel all throughout this mailing process
Insurance was paid....by Canada Post

This type of thing happens from time to time.....not exactly sure of the reasons.
You can file a "lost" report online, give the details and they may be able to take some action.

FYI - Kearny NJ has often been the culprit in other similar situations. There are a few USPS sorting facilities where this type of thing is more common.

This has happened to me afew times. One eventually arrived after I had given refund. The buyer repaid. The other never did show up. I claimed insurance.

It happened to me a few times and I called Canada Post about it and got a full refund for what I paid for postage rates with tracking number. Use Canada Post's toll-free phone number and call them.

My most recent mess..
A parcel was mailed... Arrived in Ottawa.... address not known and it got back to me.
The address was correct... But it was not worth paying Canada Post's charge to have it returned to me.
The address was verified....
(1) Mapquest
(2) White pages Ottawa.
(3) Postal clerk verified the address and postal code
However.....
Canada Post, on their website, did not provide a postal code when the address was entered
Did a reverse search by using the postal code.... Street name and associated house numbers showed up.....
The cost of the book and associated postage was not worth the effort.
Today has been a crazy day....... Major snow storm.... and terrible roads... traffic backed up to everywhere.....

Did contact Canada Post this morning.
The key words in the tracking are....
Recipient not located at address provided.
Canada Post attempted delivery.....
The person at home said "John Doe" does not live here.
Could it be that husband bought it and wife said... NO!
or just a lack of communication among people living at the same address.
Buyer's problem... not mine... I did everything right

Sometimes the parcel gets back to the seller....
and then sometimes it takes a sidestep and never gets back... off to Never-Never land
and then sometimes it just keeps going around in circles..... never to be found again.
