PayPal - Addresses are missing

Hi Everyone,

I am just wondering if the PayPal Notifications of Payments that you are receiving are missing addresses to which we are to send items to?

This past week I've noticed that 8 out of 10 I have to go back to my PayPal account to get the address.

Just curious.

Nope, they're all there. However, if you are using MS Outlook, plenty of glitches displaying eBay and PP mail.

Yes, I do use Microsoft Outlook. Always have. This is the first that I've noticed the problems. Odd.

A couple of similar reports on the US board, doesn't seem to be widespread. As usual....it's not affecting me that I can tell (today's PayPal payments had both addresses and notes (missing notes has been a more widespread problem for a few weeks).

MS Outlook has a few glitches. Every now and then, I get a PP email stating that a buyer has paid, say, 2438.55 Dollars when the correct amount should have been $38.55.

What is happening is that the $ sign is not parsed correctly and Outlook adds 2 digits to replace the sign.

And there are more glitches....

It depends on your settings as well (Plain, RTF, HTML). I have the least problems when I set my default to HTML but that makes copy and paste (for shipping) a bit slower and more cumbersome.

Also, that adds more code and formatting and recipients that have different settings receive mis-formatted mails.

Actually, I now have to admit I got one of those as well today and it does not seem to be an "Outlook" issue.

Soooooo...., now we can go back and blame PP & eBay for our woes.

Hi Xena,

It's been hit and miss with the PayPal notifications. And, there was one that I never even received! Thankfully, my buyer in Germany is a dear who has purchased from me over the past 7 years. She figured something was up when I didn't leave feedback right away!

Hopefully the glitches will work their way out!

I use Eudora for my email and the addresses on the Paypal letters are sometimes there and sometimes not there.

I haven't had that happen recently but it has in the past. Just a few of them and then everything was all right again.

Same deal just started happening to me actually 2 days ago.....no addresses in PayPal emails (and I don't use Outlook, just a web-based browser), and some PayPal payment notification emails never arriving, despite the funds being in my account!!

Same thing here...some payment notifications didn't appear in my inbox at all. Thankfully, I saw them when checking for addresses.

Hopefully, this too shall pass!

I am having the same issues! I use Outlook Express. Some are coming in,some with addresses,some with not. Some are not coming in at all! Have to go to PayPal and look! Hope it gets fixed soon...frustrating!

Now I have payment notifications going to the wrong email address. They are showing up in the email address I have registered for my other user id which currently has no listings.

eBay just posted this announcement:

April 30, 2008 | 09:57AM PST/PT

Some PayPal payment notification emails are currently missing the shipping address of the buyer. You can still reference the buyer's address through the Details link of that transaction in either the Recent Activity or Account History section of your PayPal account

No addresses in PayPal notification has really thrown me off track. All day, I have been going around in circles and progressing as far as a pregnant mule. Yes, I use Outlook and on my Hotmail account is even worse. It leaves off user names and item numbers. I hope I don't send something to the wrong person or ship an item not paid.
