Is anyone else having troubles with their PayPal debit/credit card? Mine was declined yesterday. Checked my account, no problems there. Sat on hold with PayPal for 20+ minutes..no problem at their end. So tried to use it again today, declined yet again. Checked PayPal account again, no problems there. Sitting on hold with PayPal yet again...

I had the same day with Paypal, with the same issue as well...HMMMM, no wonder the wait time was so long. I talked to 3 people about this, had my account reset, called card security... They said there was no problem.]:)
Then there is my paypal shipping problem...... which they now admit seems to have a problem.

PayPal has called me in the past about suspicious activity on my account..all was sorted out within 15 mins.
And yes, while on the phone with the the 3rd party, we did go over my recent activity. So I shall see how it works at the ATM tomorrow.. It was bad enough to have it declined in my friend's store and at the vets..don't wish to go through it again for awhile!

Called them and restored the access in 5 minutes.
Can somebody poit me where i can change the ebay billing currency from CAD to USD? Haven't found in my ebay page. Thanks.

The thing I forgot to metion that it was kinda funny situation. Called them using skype and spend around 0.15$. So ebay made money on me even by puting my debit card on hold. 😄

Hi All,
This is happening to me today! Anyone else?
Glad I'm not the only one.
I thank those for the Debit Card Security at 712-328-3852 number. I am on hold now so I might as well type.

This happened to me a while ago as well. This was when the Cnd$ first went above $1.00 US.

Then as now I phoned the number on the back of the card and they tried to reset it to no avail. They said they did not know the reason and that they were sending the problem to the tech geeks. They also mentioned that I was not the only one.

I then somehow got to the number above and then as now I am on hold for ever as they too tried to reset it but it still does not work. They try to get a supervisor and I wait longer. They inform me that there is no hold on the card. Then why does it not work? I should mention that I have a retail location and I can test the card via our debit machine anytime.

Well the supervisor from the 712-328-3852 number which is the fraud department gets on and tells me that I am at the wrong department and that there are no holds on my card for any reason and that she is transferring me customer service and I am on hold yet again.

Since they have never offered any logical reason for this to happen My feeling is that PayPal has an error in their coding or algorithm that happens when the Canadian Dollar goes above the US$.

HI again,
Previous post continued...
Now get this. She sends me to the department I was at in the first place. The gal sees a note and is now sending me to the "Solutions department".

Holding........got the message that they are having a high volume of traffic and it might be better for me to go to the website.... holding.....Go out for a smoke... This guy again asks me for all my information then puts me on hold......then gets back on says he will be on hold with the powers that be for 20 minutes before we can get help....Holding.......

This guy gets back on and says the wait is going to be to long and takes my phone number and someone will get back to me. mmmm?

Well this is not a good circumstance. I have lots of cash in the account. There have been no holds put on the card by anyone of the people I have talked to so far. So why does my card not work?

This could be a real problem. What if I were on vacation somewhere and really needed the cash fast and unable to access it because no one at PayPal knows why? Something is really wrong about all this.

Anyway I will keep you posted on the progress

WOW,
I read this post just before heading out. Didn't dare risk using my card at the store so went to the ATM, far less embarrassing if it should be declined. It worked with no problems.... This time!

My card is always declined at one of the tills at our local gas station. The gas station hasn't a clue why, but it works just fine at the other one. I must say it was a bit worrisome when it first happened..and yes I do forget from time to time and stand in the wrong line up.

Hi all,
Well finally Late this morning I got the card to work as Staples and our retail outlet.

Mine had problems last week too. Sat on hold for about 15 minutes and they had it fixed. I recommend you call them back.

I spent about 2-1/2 hours on hold last Wednesday. Two different departments of PayPal tried to reset it with no luck. I have plenty of cash in the account and no pending disputes of any kind and PayPal has no answer for why mine did not work. I finally got an email Thursday or Friday from Jamie at PayPal saying that there was technical difficulties with their system. Hope they have it fixed.

Since this is the second time this has happened my advice if you are going on holiday or lots of traveling is that you take some other form of plastic just in case as you can't really count on the PayPal Card.
