Next step will be to go to the Better Business Bureau, as we are not sure how long they can hold his money.

The Protection policy should accommodate for buyers that choose to pay for untraceable shipping methods as well as sellers not being required to provide traceable shipping to be covered or it relative to what the buyer pays for having been given the option.
Chargeback also subject to sellers policy in the case of nondelivery.
I sold an item to Argentina and gave the buyer the option of paying for traceable shipping $50 or Small packet $7 and he paid the cheapest which was insured for half it's value and known by the buyer. The item suspiciously was lost, (The buyer also claimed non delivery before it should have been there at the earliest) The buyer placing a nondelivered claim and refunded his entire cost at my expense and then the item subsequently turned out to not covered by the insurance due to unclarified reasons so I was out the whole cost despite the buyer acknowledging he would only be entitled to the original insured cost. He never paid me back...
I thought I was covered or protected somehow, having misread or interpreted my protection policy or seen something in a forum post related to selling policy in a like case that would be in my favour.
My selling policy being not responsible for lost or damage in transit etc....But will facilitate insurance claims..

After a month, it reads that the package is still sitting in Ontario. I spoke to a Canada Post rep and she said that that is all it will ever say.
I strongly suggest that paypal no longer calls that number the tracking number, and that that number is no longer connected to canada post's website.
Also, can you extend the amount of time a buyer has to put in a complaint? The buyer put in the complaint after three weeks, on a 4-6 week delivery, because she was worried about losing her chance to get refunded. This does not seem fair to me. Maybe you are basing these times on the US Postal System? Canada's, unfortunately, is not as quick.

PayPal read my complaint about buyer protection, and took it upon themselves to make things right.I recieved a full credit back from PayPal,and i have to say i am impressed that they are listening and responding in a positive manner.
I clearly understand the wheels of change are slow.
But,my situation clearly shows paypal is working toward making things much better.
Thanks Eric,And Paypal.keep up the good work.

One thing bugs me is the money transfer. we have Canadian business dollar account at RBC, we have US dollar business account at RBC in canada, all my sells are USD based, so I collect USD to my paypal account. I REALLY want to hold USD in my account, but currently there is NO single way to transfer my paypal USD to my USD business acount at RBC. I know RBC Centura has true USD account, but that is for personal, not for business, thus I cannot use it!
If Paypal has technic problems to transfer USD to USD account in Canada online, then what about write a USD cheque to us?
I believe most canadian paypal sellers accept USD as the primay currency, so this is a big problem us the sellers!
Amanda, please take a look!

I have an account in USD and I receive payments in USD, I don't want to loose a penny on the exchange. It would be nice if PayPal will keep USD funds in USD and allow us, Canadians, to withdraw or transfer them in USD.
Now, here are my other concerns:
I am feeling REALLY uncomfortable giving out my bank info for PAyPal verification process. As it was mentioned here, it is NOT safer than a credit card, trust me, I am in finance and banking field.
Second,
When I lived in the States and when I just started dealing with PAyPal, I had some limit for the payments too. Fair enough, it was just a very beginning. What I don't understand, is WHY!! when I moved to Canada, I have just that funny 1 000 CAD of the sending limit! I guess this should be changed too because aren't we a country with a freedom of choice?)
Third,
I don't like the fact that when I mov to Canada, I can no longer use my US PayPal account simply because PAyPal will not allow me to change the american billing address for my american credit card to my canadian billing address for the same american credit card. You folks say that it's your policy or your software? C'mon, american banks don't see a problem changing my american billing info to canadian and sending me bills here.
You just force me to abandon or close my american PayPal account. Where is the point?
I guess this part of the policy should be revised too, you may use the same methods of security as banks do when they change customers' billing address.

After spending more time then I had to spare looking for this information I had to rely on the generous efforts of a fellow Forums member to find the info for me 😐
And this was before the recent notice of policy changes I read. Without a place to go see the actual changes the notice was basically useless!
Thanks for taking this suggestion seriously.

Most people here in Canada understand that it can take a minimum of 10 days for a simple letter to arrive from the US yet it seems a good many US buyers have NO concept of the workings of International Commerce and their own "Homeland Security", NONE!

2) How about a decent exchange rate? You are already making money off us every time we do anything, and then you give us a horrible exchange rate-way worse than the banks.
Please there must be a better way, someone needs to put a chink in this monopoly. How many billions did ebay/paypal make last year?

I've sent them invoices, CC numbers, basically every little financial information that you'd like to keep secret!
Paypal I have about 20 people waiting to pay who will only pay by paypal. I've paid a lot of ebay fees for these auctions and I expect to get paid for them!

I suggest you call them, and if you don't get what you need ask for a supervisor. If you are very polite they will usually help you out. 1-888-221-1161
